Tissues knew what kinda day it was going to be the moment he felt that bit of consciousness sizzle and pop to life in the back of his head.

Then it started to pound. He felt his entire body immediately freeze from the need to escape the pain. He felt a groan rise up inside him but he desperately tried to hold it in, the slightest movement feeling life threatening in that moment.

Tissues had been having a lot of days like this recently.

He had two the week before, in fact.

Was it always going to be this bad? What if he never felt any better than this? What would his friends do if he couldn't get better- they couldn't take care of him forever they would-

In a desperate attempt to block out the increasingly loud and barging thoughts he turned on his side and covered his entire face with the blanket, and curled up as much as he could. Tissues didn't want another bad day. He felt the aches in his body tighten and loosen, trying to tell his body that he was in greats amount of pain, he felt the traitorous thought ping through the waves of self doubt burn above them all.

"I know"

Despite the hot, eating flashes up his body, Tissues, could not cry out. Tissues would not let himself wake up his friends because he couldn't handle another "bad day".

Then he heard a knock at his bedroom door.

The picnic, he had forgotten about the picnic that his friends, mostly OJ's idea to get the group "off the couch and into the beauty of nature" or something, mostly due to the rain that had down poured the last few days.

His body burned at the thought of speaking.

Tissues took a breath as deep as possible and spoke.

"Mn- Yeah..?"

It was YinYang, to their credit they had been working hard on their exercises with Candle, but even so Tissues tried to limit his interactions with them as he was always left spinning in his own confused thoughts.

Yin spoke; "Tissues were all meeting in the yard for the picnic we were-"

That's when Yang interrupted, to Tissues credit he only winced slightly because of his volume, "GOING TO EAT ALL THE COOKIES HAH- HAH"

Yin spoke, more confused than irritated; "But your gluten free?"

Yang, as always, had a retort; "HAH- HAH AS IF ID LET THAT STOP ME!!"

After a few moments of slight concern, Yang rattled on again

"OH- KAY WE MADE GLUTEN FREE ONES! SO I CAN STEAL ALL OF THEM ANYWAYS!!"

Tissues felt his body argue every inch of movement, but not wanting to hear much more of the conversation, as they tended to end in large scale of argument, spoke with his usual, nasally, dry voice.

"Y-yeah I'll be down in a moment!"

With the sound of running Yang yelled "BETTER HURRY!! THOSE COOKIES ARE MINE!!"

Tissues knew this was going to hurt. A lot. But he could not let himself disappoint the others..if they knew he was in this much pain they would stay indoors, it would ruin this beautiful day for them!

So tissues took another pained breathe, and sat up. He felt the familiar sense of freezing agony that rushed up his body, but held in any sound of complaint. Tissues had done this before his friends understood, he could do it again!
