The boys had narrowly escaped an ambush while trying to transport Callum and Ethan to safety. Callum, still in critical condition, and Ethan, fighting his own physical exhaustion, were both being transported to a new secure location. The safehouse had been compromised, and after a brutal struggle, Ben, Max, Liam, and the rest of the group managed to fend off their attackers. With enemies still on their tail and both Callum and Ethan vulnerable, the team knew the danger wasn't over. Their next move would be crucial if they hoped to protect each other and survive the growing threat surrounding them.

The vehicle rumbled down the deserted road, its wheels kicking up dust as the boys raced through the night. Inside the dimly lit interior, the tension was palpable. Callum lay unconscious on a stretcher, his breathing shallow, while Ethan remained slumped in a nearby seat, an IV drip connected to his arm, giving his body much-needed fluids. He hadn't fully regained his strength since the seizure, but he was awake, albeit barely, and determined to stay by Callum's side.Ben and Max sat opposite, their faces etched with concern as they watched over their injured friends. The cuts and bruises they'd endured during the ambush were starting to sting, but neither boy paid them any mind. Their focus was on Callum—how fragile he looked, how close they'd come to losing him. And Ethan, who had done everything in his power to keep Callum alive but had pushed himself too far in the process.

As the vehicle rumbled down the road, the tension inside was thick. Liam focused on driving while the rest of the boys sat in uneasy silence, the weight of everything that had happened pressing down on them. Callum lay unconscious in the back, his breathing shallow, while Ethan sat nearby, barely awake, struggling to stay upright despite the IV fluids keeping him somewhat stable.

Max kept a close eye on both of them, but his mind was racing—thinking about what would happen next, wondering if they would be able to keep everyone safe.

Suddenly, Ben broke the silence, his voice hesitant but with a spark of urgency. "Why don't we take them to the old training center on the other side of the island?"

Brody, sitting next to him, nodded. "Yeah, it's secure and far from the usual routes. They wouldn't think to look there. Plus, it's got everything we need—medical supplies, rooms, and defenses."

Max turned his head to look at them, a glimmer of hope lighting up his face. "That's not a bad idea. It's abandoned now, right? No one's used it for years. They wouldn't expect us to hide there."

Liam glanced at them through the rearview mirror, considering the suggestion. "The old training center?" he echoed. "It's isolated, but is it still functional?"

Ben shrugged. "It doesn't have to be perfect. Just secure. We can reinforce it if needed, and the location alone buys us time."

Brody crossed his arms, leaning back against his seat. "We don't have a lot of options right now, and that place gives us the best chance to regroup and figure things out. It's a lot safer than staying in the open or any of the other places we've thought of."

Max chimed in, "It's also close enough that we can get Callum and Ethan there without pushing them too far." He glanced at the two, concern etched in his features. "They're barely hanging on."

Liam's grip on the steering wheel tightened, his mind racing through the possibilities. He knew the risks of staying in one place for too long, and with the enemies still out there, hunting them, they needed somewhere secure. The training center could work.

"Alright," Liam said, his voice steady. "The training center it is. Let's hope we get there before anyone else catches wind of our location."

Ben and Brody exchanged relieved looks, glad their suggestion was accepted. It was a long shot, but it was the best chance they had. As the vehicle sped down the road, they all silently hoped that this old, forgotten place would be enough to give them the breathing room they so desperately needed.
