Peter stood just outside the school gates, leaning against the brick wall as he waited for MJ, Morgan, and the others to come out. The late afternoon sun was starting to sink, casting long shadows across the sidewalk. He checked his phone for the fifth time in the last ten minutes. Their car should have been there by now, but traffic had been brutal all day. He sighed, brushing a hand through his hair.

"Any minute now," he muttered to himself.

The street was relatively quiet, with only a few cars passing by. But then, just as he was about to text Tony, a black SUV slowed down and pulled up right in front of him. The windows were tinted, too dark for Peter to see inside, but he didn’t think much of it at first—until the door swung open.

Before Peter could react, two men in dark clothes lunged out, grabbing him roughly by the arms. His Spider-Sense screamed, but it was too late. He struggled, throwing a punch at one of the attackers, but they were fast and organized. In seconds, they had a firm grip on him, dragging him inside the SUV.

“Let go of me!” Peter yelled, his heart racing as he tried to kick free. But they were stronger than he anticipated—trained, professional.

The door slammed shut behind him, and the car sped off, leaving the school far behind.

Back at Stark Tower, Tony was in his lab when the call came through. He glanced at his phone, assuming it was Peter or maybe Happy calling about the pickup delay. But the number was unrecognized.

Frowning, he answered, “This is Tony Stark.”

There was a brief pause, followed by a cold, unfamiliar voice. “Tony Stark. Long time, no see.”

Tony’s stomach dropped. “Who is this?”

“You don’t remember me? How typical of a man like you. We’ve crossed paths before. You destroyed everything I had, and now I’m going to return the favor.”

Tony’s mind raced, sifting through his long list of enemies. “Cut to the chase. What do you want?”

The voice chuckled darkly. “It’s not about what I want. It’s about what you’ve already lost. Your son. Peter Parker, or should I say Peter Stark? We have him.”

For a moment, Tony’s world tilted on its axis. He gripped the edge of the workbench, feeling the ground slip away beneath his feet. Peter. His kid. Kidnapped.

His voice was tight, almost shaking. “If you’ve hurt him—”

“Oh, he’s alive. For now. But that all depends on you, Stark. You’ve made a lot of enemies over the years, and we’ve finally found your weak spot. We’ll be in touch with our demands soon. Don’t try anything stupid.”

The line went dead.

Tony stood frozen, the phone still pressed to his ear. His mind whirled with a thousand thoughts, all colliding at once. Peter was gone. He’d been taken—by someone from Tony’s past. The reality of it hit him like a freight train, and for the first time in years, Tony Stark felt completely helpless.

He snapped out of it, rushing out of the lab and into the common area, where Steve was talking with Bucky.

“Steve—” Tony’s voice cracked slightly, and that alone was enough to grab Steve’s attention. He turned, concern flashing in his eyes.

“What’s wrong?”

Tony swallowed hard, his hands shaking as he tried to keep it together. “Peter’s been kidnapped. Someone from my past—my enemies. They’ve got him.”
