Assalaamu 'Alaikum / peace be upon you,*Giggle giggle*
Y'all, I am so excited to write this book, I can't even explain it. Grumpy vs. sunshine, good girl x bad boy, hopeless romantic x "I don't believe in love" are like my favorite tropes to read.
On a serious note, though, this story will deal with some heavy, potentially triggering concepts and themes such as sexual harassment, death of a parent, emotional abuse, child favoritism, religious trauma, etc. Please read at your own discretion.
May Allah give me the strength to write a story that is both pleasing to Him & resonates with readers all around. Ameen.
The title is tentative! I made a very impulsive decision to publish this story today, so I had to whip up a not-very-well-thought-out title.
No publishing schedule yet! I don't want to promise you guys something & end up disappointing you. I am even busier than I used to be these days, Alhamdulillah. But I am going to try my absolute hardest to give this story the time it deserves.
Also, I feel the need to clarify this because many people have asked & I think it alters the reading experience. I write about Pakistani characters, but all of my stories are set in America. I've lived here all my life & write with this environment / society in mind. I write from the perspectives of Pakistani-American Muslims in the West, like myself.
Much love,
Kainat
