Over the course of the journey, Y/N and Eladan had settled into a comfortable routine with Thorin's company. They traveled together, sharing meals and stories around the campfire. The dwarves, while initially a bit wary of Eladan, had grown to accept the young elf, recognizing his loyalty to Y/N and his proficiency in keeping watch and hunting. though some still regarded him with a bit of caution and the occasional grumbled remark about "elves".

The moment had come for farewells, as the dwarves and Bilbo prepared to head east, while Y/N and Eladan prepared to travel south.

Y/N smiled, her gaze locked onto Thorin, her voice steady and sincere. "I'll await the day you reclaim your throne, Thorin the King of the Mountain. May your journey be blessed with success." With a courteous bow of her head, Thorin bowed his head in return.

Bofur flashed a confident grin at her, his words full of determination. "We'll reclaim Erebor in a flash, lass! So make sure to come by for a visit soon." Y/N and Eladan chuckled softly, the corner of her lips curving into a smile at Bofur's remark. "I'll hold you to that, Bofur," she replied, her tone tinged with amusement.

"Please travel safely," Eladan said softly, "aye, we'll see you later tiny elf" Bombur said gripping Eladan's shoulder, he patted Bombur's hand on his shoulder, "Later, Bombur," Eladan replied, his voice still soft. "Until we meet again."

Fili, who had been lingering quietly in the background, watching the exchange, took a deep breath and slowly stepped forward. His heart was pounding in his chest, his throat feeling a bit dry.

He stopped a few feet away from Y/N, looking at her intently. He wanted to say so much, but the words he had meant to say stuck in his throat, and only a single sentence escaped his lips: "May our paths cross again, my lady.", "Perhaps it will," Y/N said, her voice soft

The other dwarves watched as Fili gently took Y/N's hand and pressed his lips to her skin. They exchanged glances, some of them rolling their eyes and smirking, others watching with a mixture of amusement, kili gave him a side glance before finally, he let go of her hand.

Then the dwarves bid her and Eladan farewell once again, some with a tip of their hats, others with a nod. They then, along with Bilbo, fell into step and walked away, their forms disappearing into the distance. As Bilbo glanced back, giving them a wave, Y/N raised her hand and returned the gesture.
