"Babe! Come on, breathe!"

Freen was slowly awakened by a restless movement in the bed. "Bec??"

Becky seemed agitated in her sleep.

Freen propped herself up on her elbow. "Bec? It's okay na."

"Mai!" Becky moaned. "Breathe, P'Freen! Breathe!"

This dialogue was familiar to Freen, all too familiar. "Wake up, Bec."

She shook Becky further on her shoulder.

"Come on... don't leave me, babe. I need you." Becky began to cry in her sleep.

Freen tentatively touched Becky's face. "Baby wake up."

"Babe..."

"Becca, it's me."

Becky seemed to be in that situation right now, the same situation as eight years ago.

"Babe, I need you. Don't leave me." Becky was crying inconsolably at that moment, her eyes still closed.

"Becky?! Hey, baby..." Freen shook her gently.

"Please!!" Becky sat up straight in bed.

Freen put her calming hands on Becky's shoulders and caressed the struggling girl's face in her hands. "Baby, look at me. See? It's me, and you're okay."

Becky abruptly stopped moving, but still looked dazed from her nightmare.

Freen stroked her face, brushing her hair out of her eyes. "Ssh, you're okay na. I'm here, I'm not leaving."

Her stomach ached as she watched Becky shake as if she had chills.

"Oh I..." Becky tried to speak, but was still confused.

Freen instinctively pulled her closer. "That's it, Bec. It was just a bad dream."

Silent and shaking, Becky slowly squeezed the brunette's arms and she only held her tighter.

"I'm here. It's all right na."

Both lying in bed, Freen kept a hold on Becky, as the other girl buried her face in Freen's neck and hugged herself tightly around the brunette's waist.

"It's all right..." Freen caressed Becky's head and kissed her there. She kept her close until the exhausted girl fell asleep at dawn.

It was barely 8 o'clock when Becky began to stir again and opened her eyes. She tensed suddenly and pulled away from Freen as soon as she fully woke up.

"It's okay, it's me. I'm here..." Freen said.

Becky relaxed but didn't move her gaze to Freen. She kept her eyes on the brunette as if trying to make sense of something she was remembering about it.

"You're here."

"Ka. Do you want to talk about it?" She heard Freen ask.

Becky didn't answer, just looked at Freen warily.  They stared at each other for a few moments before Becky decided to comment on what she was thinking.

"I saw you... I saw you in my dream. You were drowning... and I thought I was going to lose you. I don't want to lose you, but you weren't breathing. I got scared. I don't want to lose you." Becky explained.

/FLASHBACK/

Freen rolled her eyes and shoved Becky by the shoulder. Becky pretended to fall off balance and stumbled backwards into the pool. Freen heard a splash and waited for Becky to come up in the surface. At least two minutes had passed and there was still no sign of her.
