One More Time ( Becky x Freen )

Chapter 38

"MAE!"

"BABE!"

Finn and Becky both exclaimed at the same time and ran towards the door.

Freen dropped the bags before she felt two pairs of her favourite arms wrapped around her that she almost fell over.

"Ohh my babies!" Freen said with a laugh as Finn and Becky attacked her with hugs and kisses. "I thought you two were sleeping na?"

"We heard you... so we ran as fast as we could to see you! We've missed you so much, Mae." Her son said, his arms still around her neck under Becky's arms that were also hugging Freen.

Finn was stuck between his Mae and his Mommy but there was nothing to complain about even though it was pretty stifling as Becky pushed her body towards Finn to reach Freen as close as possible.

Freen was happy. Everyone was happy, including Araya, who looked at them with tears in her eyes. She smiled, but at the same time she couldn't stop the tears of happiness from flooding her eyes. The evidence was clear in front of her, that fate gave her daughter one more chance, that her daughter finally had her second chance at family, which Araya never thought she would have after having lost to the hand of fate.

And for Freen, she decided that she would never leave them at home after this. She would never be able to see the sad looks on their faces again, not after this. This was the evidence that she couldn't live long without her family, her second chance at love and her second chance at family.

After her emotional moment, Freen insisted on going straight to bed since it was 10:15 PM, but she accidentally told Finn that she had bought them gifts from Singapore. Finn being a little boy that he was, demanded that they open the gifts before going to bed. No child could wait another day to open their presents. Freen also knew that he would never sleep through the night if they didn't, just like on Christmas Eve.

So, the little family sat in the living room as they waited to open the presents Freen bought while she waited for her flight to return home. Finn opened Freen's presents, which included a set of action figures and a box of favorite candy. Finn was delighted with the presents, so he went to hug Freen before sitting on their laps as they watched Araya open her present and find a four-inch square boxed glass perfume bottle.

The last to open the present was Becky and she was excited when she found a set of three cookbooks. Becky graciously thanked her, while inside she wanted to show Freen more lovingly how much she truly appreciated the gift and how much she had missed her, but not in front of her mother or her son. Maybe later she could hug her and kiss her as much as she missed her.

Eventually, they were now in Becky's room after everyone finished opening presents. It was the first time that Freen sat on Becky's bed after taking a quick shower and brushing her teeth, ready for bed.

Thankfully, the bed was big enough for three people, as Finn asked to sleep with them that night.

As Freen slipped under the blanket, her son stirred in his sleep and mumbled, "Goodnight kub... I love you..." and immediately closed his eyes.

Becky looked at Freen rubbing Finn's back as she soothed him. Becky reached for Freen's hand that was on her son's back as he slept between them. Freen smiled at them fondly. Becky really wanted to hug Freen at that moment, she wanted to kiss her and show her how much she missed her, but she sighed deeply at the thought that she wouldn't be able to do so because of her son's position.
