Jasmine González was not the type of fangirl we all imagine in our head. She had nice bronzed skin, beautiful brown eyes, and black curly hair. She was also not your "typical black girl". She didn't care much for hip hop, she took ballet, she didn't "act black", and she was only half black. Not to mention, she was unconditionally in love with British-Irish boyband One Direction. Her whole life she was outcasted for liking "white things."

The only people who truly accepted her were her parents and brother. They took her to any concert they could, sang along to One Direction songs, and bought her almost everything that had the boys faces on it. However, there was always that voice in the back of her head telling her to give up because her chances of meeting the boys was low, and her chance of being with one was basically impossible.

But maybe her mother was right. Maybe patience was all she needed for all her wildest dreams to come true.
