LorenzoI arrived at Alexa’s school. I had canceled my meeting with some investors so I could come pick Alexa from school, as I had promised.
I didn’t want to draw the attention of the Media, so I had come in a less attractive car and without my driver or bodyguards. I glanced at my wristwatch, impatiently waiting for the school bell to ring. I missed my little Princess so much.
There were other people waiting to pick their kids up.
An expensive car pulled up beside my car. I glanced at the driver who waved at me. Before I could wave back, the school bell rang and I watched as kids started coming out of the school.
I came out of my car and walked into the gate looking around for Alexa.
“Hello, Mr,” I heard a tiny melodic voice say. I looked down and saw a young beautiful girl staring at me with charming hazel eyes. She had long jet-black hair that so much reminded me of Laura. Laura had hazel eyes and long jet-black hair.
“Lena, mom said we shouldn’t talk to strangers,” a boy screamed, walking up to her. “Let’s go.”
And why did he look so much like me?
Lena stared at me and then at him. “Luke, do you know you resemble this man?” she asked.
Luke looked up at me. He bit his lips and looked back at Lena. “It’s called lookalike. We all do have lookalikes.”
“Hello,” he said, stretching out his small hand for a handshake.
I shook his hand. How was it possible that he had blue eyes and dark hair just like me? “Hello, cuties. I guess you both are twins?”
They both nodded. “Yes, I’m Lena and he’s Luke. What’s your name?”
“Lorenzo,” I said, with a smile. “You remind me of someone, Lena.”
“Who do I remind you of?” she asked, with a dazzling smile.
“Luke and Lena. It’s time to go,” a man interrupted.
I turned around to see the driver I had met earlier.
“It was nice meeting you,” Luke said to me, gently grabbing Lena's hand.
“Good bye,” Lena said, waving at me.
I watched them scurry away, happily. They were beautiful and amazing kids. Why did I feel a very deep connection with them?
“Hey,” Alexa said, blushing, as she walked over to where I stood. “You came.”
I carried her up in my arms. “I missed you. I promised to come pick you up, so I’m here.”
“Excuse me,” said a tiny familiar voice.
“I thought you had gone,” I said, surprised to see Lena standing close to me.
“I just wanted to be sure that I heard you right when you said your name is Lorenzo.”
“Yes, Lena, you heard me right.”
Lena chuckled. “Luke and I are going to tell mom and grandpa about you. Bye,” she said and left.
“Who’s she?” Alexa asked.
“Lena. I just met her and her twin brother and they are very nice.”
“Oh, I see. Has mom returned?” Alexa inquired, keenly.
“She’ll be back before midnight,” I said, playfully tapping her nose.

I stared at the news about Xpresso Beauty Company. I was pretty sure I wasn’t the only one keen to know who the founder of the company was. The company had topped the Talco company which was founded by Victoria.
After my company had completely gone bankrupt and crashed, Victoria stopped working for me and opened her own company which had to do with cosmetic. I had thought she’d go into entrepreneurship or economics because that was her passion and that was what made me hire her. However, I was happy with the path she chose.
Talco had been topping the charts for three good years. Last year, a new company topped the charts by far. The company was none other than Xpresso company and it made three times what Talco had made last year. This year it didn’t just top the chart, it was on every newspaper’s headline for making a massive amount of two billion dollars within two years.
There was news that the founder planned to reveal herself today. My phone buzzed and I glanced at it. Ms. Roberts, the founder of Xpresso Beauty is Live on BB Chanel.
I clicked to see who she was. Laura? Ms. Roberts was Laura?
Laura was Mr Green Roberts hidden daughter?
But she was Davis Wilson’s daughter…
Perhaps, they had made a mistake with the pictures.
I glanced at the picture again. I grabbed my car keys and hurriedly left the house.
I pulled up around Xpresso Beauty Company. I could see a lot of interviewers and reporters waiting outside the building. I wondered if I would get a chance to see her.
I brought out the bouquet of rose flowers I had bought on my way.
I got out of my car and entered the building with my ID. That was my only pass card.
I walked up to the receptionist desk.
“Aren’t you the famous CEO of Smith Enterprise?” she asked in a lower tone.
“I am. But I need you to keep it as a secret between us,” I said, putting on my glasses.
She giggled and nodded. “I’m a fan of you, Sir. I promise to keep it a secret. Cross my heart. I just can’t believe it. I've always prayed to meet you in person.”
I stretched the bouquet of flowers to her. “Please help me give this to your boss.”
“Is it for Ms. Roberts?” Her eyes widened.
“Yes,” I said, huskily. “Thank you.” I left a bundle of dollars on her desk and left.
I waited patiently in my car for Laura to come out. I had been searching for her for years and I’d finally get to see her. I needed to apologize to her. I needed to make things right with her. I needed her back in my life. I wanted her to be the mother of my kids and my partner for life. We were going to get remarried and this time it would be forever.
Hours passed by, while I waited for her. I leaned on my car’s steering wheel, praying I would get a chance to see Laura.

Hours later;I had seen her. We talked. I should be happy but I stood there, a tear rolling down my cheek. She had moved on. She wasn't even ready to give me a chance to explain.
I watched as her car drove off.
“Laura,” I called out, slowly. It felt like I was completely losing her. How could she have moved on so easily? We loved each other. We were meant for each other.
“Mr Lorenzo, didn’t your company go bankrupt, five years ago? Please, tell us how you got your company back on its feet. Your company is once again successful. What is the secret?”
“Mr Lorenzo in your last interview, you mentioned your ex-wife was the reason your company became successful again. Didn’t you divorce her during the time your company was going bankrupt?”
“Are the rumors that you cheated on your ex-wife five years ago, true?”
“No,” I said, hoarsely, wiping off my tears. "I'd never cheat on her."
