Chapter 52: Lies & Broken Promises

* Karri's POV *

I had gotten back from New York & placed my bags on the floor. Peter put his dirty dish in the sink & returned to the bedroom as if my existence meant nothing to him. I went in the room to grab his attention by putting my things away & making noise to annoy him.
Peter: Do you mind?
Karri: Oh. I'm here now?
Peter: Not right now. My show on.
He said turning up the volume on the tv. I turned the tv off.
Karri: Look, you need to respect the fact I want us to figure things out first. When it's time for babies, we'll have them. I don't want to feel rushed into something I'm not ready for. End of discussion. If you mad, I'll leave.
Peter: Karri... I respect your decision. You kept it from me though. What kinda shit is that?
Karri: Cause you didn't want me on any type of birth control.
Peter: You're still suppose to talk it out w/ me.
Karri: I agree.
Peter: But I accept your apology.
Karri: I never apologized.
Peter: Good enough.
He said giving me a kiss on my cheek & walking into the bathroom.
Peter: You know we gone be real happy when we get settled.
Karri: Yeah.
I said sorting our dirty laundry & a piece of paper fell out his pocket. I picked it up & realized it was his ex girlfriend Jessica's number written down. I was only gone a couple says & he had reunited w/ her already? I walked into the bathroom.
Karri: What you do while I was away?
Peter: Work & think about you.
He said smiling. I faked smiled & cut it short.
Karri: Me or Jessica?
Peter: What?
Karri: You thought about me or Jessica?
Peter: You. Where did Jessica come from?
Karri: This came out your pocket.
I said showing my evidence off.
Karri: What's this? How you gone explain this hell? Let me guess y'all decided to be friends?
Peter: I seen her at a club & she gave it to me.
Karri: Ohhhhh! So I go to work & we leave on bad terms one time & you reunite with that Jack?
I said being funny since she wasn't really attractive.
Peter: Look...
I walked into the room & grabbed my bags.
Peter: Where you going?!
He yelled while I walked out the door. I slammed it for his answer... Obviously out & away from him.
