As I walk I think about having to unpack the eight boxes that Adriana brought me, and what is in each one. My thoughts wander towards one specific box that I know she brought me, and excitement of opening fills my mind, which I make sure doesn't show on my face.
Making it back to my suite, I reach forward, and swing the door open. Upon walking in I'm met with the sight of everyone snooping through my boxes. Luca, and Logan are searching through the same box, and whispering quietly to one another. Grant is in his own world as he plays around with my knots of necklaces. Carter is flipping through the pages of the small amount of books I requested Adriana to bring.
At this point know one has seemed to realize that I am watching them. I move my eyes over to Jax, who just finished putting the lid on a box, and is now reaching towards a familiar box labeled 'job' on the side of it.
I quickly rush forward, and grab his hand, and bend it backwards enough to hurt, but not enough to break it. "That's enough" I say, my tone cold. Jax's face contorts into one of pain. I level a glare at everyone, and watch one by one as they put my stuff down, and step away, their hands up in defeat.
Looking up into Jax's eyes I say "Next time you all want to see my stuff" I move my gaze to the rest of the boys "ask. It's as simple as that" I finish. I let go of Jax's hand causing him to stumble back. I look down at my boxes then up to Luca, and Logan "Since you both loved going through my clothes you wouldn't mind taking these into my room" I narrow my eyes at them letting them know it wasn't a request.
They both nodded their heads, and proceeded to grumble as each of them picked up three boxes, and took them into my room. I continued to watch them as they placed them down onto my bed, and then stepped out of my room.
Bending down I add the 'job' box onto the one I'm already carrying. "Liston Alana, We're sorry we snooped. We shouldn't have" Carter starts. He elbows the rest of the guys, and they all echo an apology, all except for Jax. I look over at Jax, and wait. "Jax, I believe you have something to say" Carter speaks his voice commanding.
Jax clears his throat, and rubs the back of his neck "Right ya, sorry" he says quickly, then turns, and enters the door adjacent to mine. Not wanting to bother with what crawled up his ass just now, I looked up to Carter, and gave him a nod before turning, and entering my room, making sure to kick the door closed.
Placing the bottom box at the end of my bed with the boxes Luca, and Logan placed. I grab the 'job' box, and go over to the head of my bed, and sit down. I tuck my legs underneath me, and lift the lid off. Reaching in I grab my knives, and inspect them.
Pulling the blades out of their sheaths I examined them, making sure that they still maintained their sharpness. I slide my thumb along the sharp side all the way until the end, the point drawing a drop of blood. Unbothered by the blood now dripping from my finger I move onto the rest of it, making sure nothing was damaged during packing, and travel.
Satisfied with my blades I place them back into their sheaths, and gingerly lay them next to me on the bed. Reaching my hand back into the box I pull out my two handguns which are already in their holsters.
With a sigh I swing my legs over the bed, stand up, and walk over to the remaining boxes, and begin unpacking.
One Hour Later
I am almost done placing the last of my books when my door is pushed open, and Luca comes in. I continue to place the rest of the books on their shelf, not bothering to stop, and turn around to see what he wants.
As I place the final book onto the shelf Luca clears his throat behind me. I spin around, and cross my arms over my chest as I wait for him to say his peace.
Luca lifts his hand up and rubs the back of his neck as he begins talking "right ya, uh, Carter sent me to tell you dinner was ready, so ya" He continued to stare at me expecting a response. Instead I turned, and walked out of my room "Make sure you close the door on your way out" I called over my shoulder.
I walk slowly until I hear the click of the door behind me, and the heavy steps of Luca before picking up my pace and walking over to the front of the room where the kitchen is. Grant and Logan look up from where they are sitting at the dining table looking at their phones "Hey, Alana" they say in unison, not feeling like talking I give them a nod in response.
I make my way behind them, and over to the stove where Carter is currently mixing around a pot of something. "I hope you like spaghetti" Carter says as I attempt to take a peak around him. The scent of meat and herbs hit's my nose as I look down on it. Not remembering when the last time I ate made it look even more appetizing.
I let out a low hum of approval as Carter picked up the pot, turned, and placed it on the table next to the forks, and bowls. I quickly maneuver to the chair farthest from everyone else. I wait patiently for everyone to sit.
Luca takes a seat in between Logan, and Grant. Carter takes up the seat at the head of the table, making the boys on his left, and me on his right with one chair between us. I look around with brows furrowed, confused "Where is Jax" I ask.
