Fell in love werewolf best friends

Lui Shirasagi : "Lantern, can I ask you something... something personal?"

Lantern: "Of course, Lui. You can ask me anything."

Lui Shirasagi : "Do you ever get this feeling, like... something's pulling us together? Like there's this... magnetic force that just keeps bringing me closer to you?"

Lantern: laughing nervously "Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. It's hard to describe, but it's like being around you just feels... right. Like it's where I belong."

Lui Shirasagi : "Exactly. It's strange. I've never felt this way around anyone else, and honestly, it's kind of terrifying. But also... incredible."

Lantern: "It's funny. When I'm with you, it's like nothing else matters. Even my curse doesn't seem as scary. I've spent so much time feeling like I have to protect people from me. But with you... I just feel... safe. And free."

Lui Shirasagi : "And that's how I want you to feel, Lantern. I want you to feel like you don't have to hold anything back. Like you can trust me with all of it. Your worries, your fears... everything."

Lantern: "You make it sound so simple, but... I don't know, Lui. I guess I've been fighting these feelings for a long time. I thought it was just me getting too attached. I mean, we're best friends. Isn't that all it's supposed to be?"

Lui Shirasagi : "Maybe that's where it started, but... Lantern, don't you feel like there's something... more? Like something we can't ignore?"

Lantern: hesitantly "I do. Every time I look at you, it's like there's this... energy. Like I'm drawn to you, even when I don't want to be. And when we're apart, it feels like part of me is missing."

Lui Shirasagi : "I feel the same. I keep thinking about you, even when I'm supposed to be focused on something else. It's like you've become a part of me... and I don't even know when it happened."

Lantern: softly "Maybe it was always there, and we just didn't see it."

Lui Shirasagi : "Maybe. But I can't ignore it anymore, Lantern. I've been trying to make sense of it, to understand if this is something real or just some... werewolf instinct. But it feels so much deeper than that. Like it's a part of who I am now."

Lantern: "So... what are we saying here, Lui? Are we saying that we're more than friends?"

Lui Shirasagi : "Yes. I think we are. Or... at least, I am. I've fallen for you, Lantern. And I don't think it's something I can deny anymore."

Lantern: taken aback, but smiling "You have no idea how much hearing that means to me. I've been so scared to admit it, even to myself. But... I think I've been in love with you for a long time too."

Lui Shirasagi : "Then why hold back? Why not just... let this be what it is? We're already closer than anyone else could ever be. You know me better than anyone."

Lantern: "Maybe it's because I was afraid. Afraid that this would change things. That if I told you, I'd risk losing everything."

Lui Shirasagi : "You don't have to be afraid, Lantern. I'm not going anywhere. In fact, I want to be closer to you. I want to be the one who stands by your side through everything, who you can lean on no matter what."

Lantern: "You make it sound so easy... but maybe it is. Maybe love doesn't have to be as complicated as I thought."

Lui Shirasagi : "It doesn't. Not when it's real. And this... this feels as real as anything I've ever felt."
