Louie woke with a sharp intake of breath, sweat slicking his brow as the remnants of his
nightmare faded into the dawn's dim light. His heart pounded a fierce rhythm in his
chest, the details of the dream still vivid and unsettling, his heart pounding as the
remnants of his dream clawed at his mind. The ship creaked and groaned beneath him,
the gentle waves rocking them through the Grand Line. He could still feel the power of
the Soru Soru no Mi and the Hito Hito no Mi model: Nika, coursing through his veins like
wildfire.
"Ethan," Louie called out groggily, rubbing his eyes to dispel the haunting vision. His
friend turned from where he stood at the helm, a wide grin plastered across his face as
usual.
"Morning, captain! Sleep well?" Ethan asked, though his eyes shifted to Louie’s worried
expression. Louie hesitated, then shook his head.
"I had this crazy dream," Louie admitted, recounting the forbidden story of the Soru
Soru no Mi, how it spoke to him of its past wielders and the dark powers they harbored.
Those who dared to extend or shorten life spans, enslave souls, and bend the will of the
living.
Ethan kept his gaze on Louie, sensing the gravity in his tone. "Sounds intense. But
dreams are just dreams, right?"
Louie's eyes hardened, and he looked down at his hands."Not just any dream," Louie
replied. "A revelation. A warning. The Soru Soru no Mi... it’s more dangerous than we
ever imagined." "This one felt different." With newfound determination, he clenched his
fists and rose from his bunk. The ship began to tilt ominously.
"Storm's rolling in," James shouted from the crow's nest. The usually jovial Levi was
eerily silent, staring wide-eyed at the darkened horizon.
As the storm descended upon them, Louie felt an unsettling energy within himself.
Remembering his dream, he called forth his newfound abilities. Standing tall amidst the
chaos, he split a quarter of his soul, feeling a massive wave of fatigue wash over him.
He channeled this fragment into a newly formed mini storm cloud hovering above his
outstretched palm.
"Zeus," Louie whispered hoarsely, naming the cloud that now sparked with life. Zeus
crackled with energy, lightning dancing along its fluffy edges.
"Master Louie," Zeus spoke in a voice reminiscent of a rumbling thunderclap, "I am here
to serve you."
The storm raged on, waves crashing and the wind howling. Louie clenched his jaw,
raising Zeus high above his head. "Protect us," he commanded.
Zeus surged forward, releasing bolts of lightning that dissipated the most perilous winds
and waves. The crew worked tirelessly, the combination of their manual labor and
Zeus's storm-mastery finally overcoming the tempest.
When calm returned, the four boys collapsed onto the deck, drenched but alive. Panting
heavily, they exchanged weary glances before bursting into laughter, the tension easing
off their shoulders like rainwater.
"That was something else," Levi chuckled, shaking his sodden hair dry.
Ethan nodded, though his eyes remained fixed on Louie. "You did good, Louie. Zeus is
incredible."
Louie smiled, though the weight of his dream and awakening power pressed heavily on
his thoughts. "Thanks, guys. I couldn’t have done it without all of you."
That night, they all gathered below deck, sharing stories to lighten the mood. But
Louie’s mind wandered back to his dream and the power he now held. He stared at
Zeus, who floated beside him obediently.
"Zeus," Louie began softly, "do you know about the Soru Soru no Mi and its previous
owners?"
Zeus’s cloud form darkened slightly, thunder rumbling within. "Yes, Master Louie. It is a
power that commands both awe and fear. It grants life and takes it away with equal ease."
"Do you think...I could become like them?" Louie asked, his voice barely above a
whisper.
"The power does not define you, Master Louie; your choices do," Zeus replied sagely.
Just then, Ethan approached, clapping Louie on the back. "Come on, Louie. Don’t let it
get to you. We’re a team. We'll face whatever comes together."
James and Levi nodded in agreement, their confidence in Louie unwavering. Louie took
a deep breath, feeling the strength of their bond buoying him up.
They spent the next few days navigating through quieter waters, training vigorously and
mapping their journey. Louie and Zeus became inseparable, a symbiotic duo forging
new strategies for their voyage.
One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, a ship appeared on the distant
waves. Its flag bore the insignia of a ruthless pirate crew reputed for their merciless
marauding. Louie’s heart quickened, but he felt an unexpected calm.
"We fight," Louie declared, the determination in his voice resonating through his crew.
They readied their weapons, standing firm as the pirate ship closed in.
When the battle commenced, Louie's control over his power was tested. Zeus
unleashed lightning strikes, disrupting enemy maneuvers and safeguarding his friends.
Ethan, James, and Levi fought with unparalleled coordination, inspired by Louie's
leadership.
In the midst of the clash, Louie saw a pirate aiming for Levi. With a swift motion, he
extended Levi’s life span just enough to dodge the fatal blow, a strange warmth filling
his soul as he exercised his control over life and death.
Yet, it became clear they were outnumbered. Louie knew he needed to harness more of
his newfound abilities. He focused on the souls of the fallen enemies, binding them into
objects around him. A discarded cannonball sprang to life, becoming a roaring lion that
leapt into battle alongside them.
With a final command, Louie directed Zeus to unleash a powerful storm directly upon
the enemy vessel. Lightning cracked and thunder boomed, reducing the ship to splinters and sending the surviving pirates fleeing.
The victory was theirs, hard-fought and well-earned. As they sailed away from the
wreckage, Louie looked at his friends, gratitude swelling in his chest.
"We've got a long journey ahead, but I know we can handle anything," Louie said,
conviction ringing in his voice.
Ethan grinned. "With you as our captain, there's no storm too fierce."
James and Levi cheered in agreement, their spirits high.
Zeus hovered close to Louie, whispering, "Remember, Master Louie, true strength lies
in understanding the power you hold and choosing to use it wisely."
Zeus hovered close, a constant reminder of the potential and peril of Louie's powers.
"Master Louie," he rumbled, "we have much to learn about each other."
Louie nodded. "Yes, we do. But we'll face it together."
Louie nodded, feeling a sense of clarity and purpose. Together, they would continue
their odyssey, navigating the dreaming seas, bound by friendship and unyielding
resolve.
Their adventure had only just begun.
