It was 7 PM. Law arrives at school and walks to his locker. He's a straight-A student, his attendance is perfect, and he's a nerd who's not very social. His only friends are Penguin, Shachi, and Bepo, but Luffy and his group of friends always talk to Law as well. Law doesn't mind; sometimes he finds them annoying since all they do is tease him and call him stupid nicknames.

As he passed by Luffy's group, he notices Zoro arguing with a girl who has long, curly pink hair. She was hovering a few inches off the ground and yelling at Zoro for being an idiot.

"You made us late again, idiot!" she shouted, pointing an accusing finger at him.

"What?! No, I didn't!" He glares at the girl.

The pink-haired girl crossed her arms. "Next time I'm driving!"

She flicked her hair and turned around, her hair going full speed and slapping Zoro.

"YOU LITTLE—"

She laughs while hovering away. Zoro grumbled and rubbed his nose, then turned around and walked away, his hands in his pockets. Zoro was a pretty stupid guy. His sense of direction was so bad he couldn't even drive to school with a GPS.

Law took interest in the girl and wondered if she was Zoro's sister, cousin, or maybe a friend? Law shakes his head. 'Why should I care? It's none of my business.' He bites his lip, and his curiosity takes over as he approaches Zoro while the girl drifts off.

Law clears his throat, covering his mouth.

"Roronoa-ya," Law said with a stern voice.

Zoro looks at Law.

"Oh, Hey, Traffy." he said in a cool tone.

Law clenched his fist at that stupid nickname the Strawhats gave him. "Don't... ugh, never mind. Who was that girl?" Law said, his palms feeling clammy. Even mentioning her made his heart quicken.

"Oh, Perona? She's my cousin," Zoro scoffed.

'Cousin...' Law repeats in his head.

"Okay," Law simply said.

Zoro raised a brow. "Why do you wanna know?"

Law backs away slowly.

"No reason. See you around."

Law passes Zoro and walks to his class. While he walks, he can't get... 'Shit...' He curses himself; Law already forgot her name.

She was a type of soft goth. She had very long, pink curly hair and wore a black long-sleeve shirt with a white cross on it, a red mini skirt, black and white striped tights, and big red boots. That's the type of stuff she wore, especially those big red boots. She was pale, so it went well with her style. She had doe eyes with black eyeliner and eyeshadow, which made her doe eyes pop out. Her lips were bright red, and her cheeks had just a tint of pink. It was strange; he'd never felt this way before, but Law would feel tingles, his heart warming up and beating faster every time he saw her. He didn't understand why he felt this way around her; he didn't even care much about her. He couldn't even remember her name, even though she was in three of his classes and Zoro had just told him. So... why did he feel this way and get sweaty, and feel warmth in his chest every time she was around?

Law walked into class. The teacher was talking about something Law didn't pay attention to, his mind flooded with thoughts of the ghost girl. The teacher played a video for today's lesson, projecting it on the wall. He was zoning out when he heard very familiar laughter that brought him back to reality, making his heart quicken but also his blood boil.

"Horohorohorohorohoro!"

He looks over, and of course, it was her. She was laughing with her friend, Uta. Law didn't know why he felt these sensations of warmth and annoyance every time Perona laughed. Law felt a twitch in his brow and his jaw tensing up, wishing she'd be quiet for once. She was childish and immature, like Straw Hat, which made him clench his fist, but.. if he felt like that then why does he also feel like he's gonna have a heart attack?

"Perona, please be quiet and watch the video!"

The teacher announces in a low but stern tone. Law doesn't take his eyes off the pink-haired girl. He released the tension in his jaw, his eyes lit up. 'Perona...' Law repeated; her name was playing like music as it entered his ear. 'Her name is Perona...' Law repeated over and over until her name was engraved in his mind. Law found himself gazing at the girl; he blinks a few times, snapping back to reality, still staring at Perona's back. Perona scoffs and rolls her eyes at the teacher, crosses her arms, hovers over her chair, and finally sits. She leaned back against the chair. Her friend looks at Law, then nudges Perona with her shoulder. Perona looks over at Law as her friend signaled, and he looks away quickly... 'Fuck...' Perona raised one of her eyebrows, wondering why he was looking at her. She looked at the video on the wall. Law slowly glances back at Perona, then at the video. He would glance at her from time to time. The video was over, and the teacher passed out worksheets.

"You guys can work with whoever you want!"

Law, of course, worked by himself while everyone else scattered around the room and sat with their friends. The whole room was loud with chattering, but the only voice he focused on was Perona's. As he tried to do his work, his heart couldn't stop pounding in his ears. As the class worked, the teacher yells:

"Everyone! Give me your attention for one second!"

Everyone looks over at the teacher, some people still talking but silently.

"There's gonna be a Halloween festival after school today! There's gonna be carnival games, food, and many activities!"

Some groups of friends start talking about the festival and how they should go, even Perona and her friends. Law thinks about going. He's not the type of guy to go to those afterschool events; he'd rather go home and do homework. But this time... he considers going to maybe, just maybe, bump into Perona and talk to her.
