I walked into the ballroom and everyone was either dancing or talking and laughing I stood there and watched the action around me the room was beautiful the candles made the room dim but beautiful the curtains on the window hinges were plain but they didn't bother me I stood across from the cookie table but near one of the windows I noticed a group of girls standing at the cookie table and they were fighting over the last peanut butter cookie but I noticed the chocolate chip cookie plate was still full I walked over to the table the group was still fighting I grabbed a chocolate chip cookie and walked back to the spot where i was standing before I ate the cookie and walked up the grand staircase and onto the balcony I leaned onto the railing and watched the action from up on the balcony the music played cheerfully and the couples down on the dance floor were laughing and dancing all the girls were either wearing Flannel gowns or different color fancy Victorian dresses but I was the only one wearing a light pink gown that had no sleeves and matching stockings and flats plus a tall golden tiara and a necklace but i knew that nobody would care to notice me i knew that no one would as normal and unrightfully boring as my gown was nobody was going to notice me I stood up on the balcony watching i noticed that the group of girls were still throwing fists at each other i couldn't believe they couldn't share the cookie I watched them for a little bit longer before I decided enough was enough I walked down the staircase and walked to the cookie table i grabbed the peanut butter cookie and hid it under my gown and bolted up the grand staircase and back onto the balcony and ate the cookie.
