One Shot

The sun was setting over the town of hyunsan, spreading a soft orange colour all around the streets. Hyunsan was known for its peaceful atmosphere and charming artistic community . It was a town that prided itself on its individuality- a place where people like Taehyung could live freely far from the oppressive Expectations of the large cities.

Taehyung's hands were covered with various colours of paint as he stood in front of his canvas. The light of late afternoon is spilling through the wide glass windows of his studio. His brush moved across the canvas, capturing the heartwarming beauty of nature. This is where he felt at home- alone with his art. Where no one will tell him how an Omega was supposed to live.

As he was drowned into his passion, interrupting the peaceful moment, his phone buzzed on the table beside him. Taehyung sighed and wiped his hands on a rag before glancing at the screen. A message from his best friend, Jimin, flashed across the screen.

Jimin : "He's here."

Taehyung frowned, his chest tightening with an unpleasant familiar sense. He had been hearing rumors for weeks that an Alpha from one of the wealthiest families in the country was coming to town.

Jeon Jungkook, the heir of Jeon Family Empire, was here to finalize a deal that would help his family to expand their business into Hyunsan. It was exactly that kind of corporate intrusion that Taehyung hated.

Taehyung : "Great, just what we need."

He rolled his eyes before putting the phone back and getting his work done. But the uneasy feeling kept lingering in him.

Alpha like Jungkook represent everything Taehyung had tried to escape. Power, control, and the expectation that omegas should submit to their will. He had fought too hard for his independence to let someone into his life and disrupt it.

Soon the rumble of a car engine came through the quiet streets. Taehyung turned to the window, his breath got uneven as a Black car pulled up in front of the town's modest mansion.
Even from a distance, he could see the figure stepping out of the car. Tall, broad shouldered strong sense of confidence that only comes with being into Power. Jeon Jungkook.

Taehyung was watching him as Jungkook was having a conversation with the mansion owner, his face was unreadable. He was breathtakingly handsome with sharp features and aura that commands attention without any effort. But Taehyung wasn't about to be impressed by good looks. He had seen too many Alphas who thought they could use charm their way into getting what they wanted.

As Jungkook disappeared into the mention, Taehyung ignored him and turned back to his Canvas. Hyunsan was his town and he wasn't about to let some Alpha walk in and change that.

On the other side, Jungkook stepped into his room with a deep sigh, already feeling the tension on his shoulder. Hyunsan was really a beautiful town but he is not here for the scenery. His father sent him to make a deal on a piece of land here for the family business. Normally anyone else can handle such a minor case, but this was about more than just business. It was about proving himself. That he is capable of handling the family's affairs. His future as the next head of the Jeon Empire depends on it.

But as much as he understood the importance of the trip, there was a part of him that did not want to be here. He was grown up as known as the heir of the Alpha family, nothing more. Everyone expected him to follow the path laid out for him . He is now in his mid twenties, and still felt trapped by the weight of his responsibilities and boundaries. It felt like a burden to him.

Jungkook decided to take a walk and explore the town to clear his head. The next day he has a meeting with the town's council so he needs a clear mind. As he was walking down the streets , watching nature's beauty. he can totally differentiate between this place and the City he has come from. In the city everyone is busy every moment, rushing all the time - but here he felt a sense of freedom which is really new to him.
