Taehyung's POV
Tomorrow, I'm taking the birthday boy to the cinema, but I haven't seen Jimin all day to confirm if he's changed his mind about letting me take him to his cinema.
To my delight, I heard a soft knock on my bedroom door.
Before I could answer, the door swung open, revealing exactly who I hoped would be there—Jimin.
He still wore his work attire: a sleek black shirt and pants paired with polished dress shoes.
"Hey, are you busy?" He asked, his eyes darting to where I sat on my bed, my phone in hand.
"Nah, is everything okay?" I replied, a hint of curiosity in my voice.
He nodded, biting his lip as he looked away. "I start work tomorrow after lunch. Did you want to watch a movie or something with me before bed?" His confidence seemed to wane, stuttering out the invitation.
I gasped in surprise. I'd been trying to connect with Jimin, and now it seemed he was trying to connect with me, too.
"Yeah, I'm free." My voice stammered in disbelief.
He smiled softly, but added, "You can decline if you want. I know you have to wake up early to take the others to school tomorrow."
"No, seriously, I don't mind. I probably wouldn't sleep for another hour anyway." My response was a lie; I wanted to spend time with Jimin, and he didn't need to know my usual bedtime schedule.
"Alright, cool. My room, then? You don't have a couch or TV in here unless you want to do something else?" Jimin said as I stood up.
"No, your room is fine." I exclaimed, put my phone down before following him to his bedroom.
I closed the door behind me and walked over to where Jimin sat on a short brown leather couch. A cute blue pillow caught my eye, and I picked it up, placing it on my lap instead of behind me as I sat.
"Cute PJs, by the way." Jimin remarked, glancing at my Mickey Mouse-print pajama set.
"Thanks! My younger sister gave them to me for my birthday last year." I smiled back, noticing the corner of his lips curve into a light smirk.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" I shot back, my eyes narrowing playfully.
"Nothing, you're just full of entertainment," He replied, making my eyes widen.
"Well, I'm here to entertain you, so I hope you mean that nicely," I stammered.
Jimin's expression softened, and a goofy smile lit up his face. "I do mean it nicely. It's refreshing to see someone who dresses cute as an adult."
"You only live once, so why not wear weird prints?" I shrugged, watching him laugh. His laughter was soft and joyous; it ignited a warm spark in my chest.
"Do my stripy PJs not fit the weird print category?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow at me.
I shrugged again. "I don't know, maybe you should put them on so I can judge them better."
Jimin giggled and then stood up from the couch. "Sorry, I didn't realize we were having a pajama party." A smile broke across my face from his comment.
To give him privacy, I kept my gaze on the TV screen, but I could hear the rustle of fabric behind me.
"Is this better?" Jimin asked, reappearing beside me, a playful grin on his face.
He looked effortlessly perfect, even with his slightly messy hair.
"Yeah, not as good as mine, but they're cute." I couldn't help but tease; they were the same ones from the other night.
