A Girl Between Worlds.

Chapter 10

"Humans."
Brian replied looking at the elf trying to detect any sense of fear like before. But found nothing Nikki's expression was blank almost as if she was numb.
"That's what I thought.."

Nikki muttered 

"Now my question to you young elf."

"What?"
Brian closed his eyes leaning back in his chair with a slight devilish smirk.
"How long are you going to pretend looking like that?"
Nikki's eyes widened with the question
"Until I no longer need to.."
as soon as Nikki answer his question Tim came walking down the stairs;
"Let's go."
Nikki smiled grabbing her bag
"Nice talk Hoodie~"
She smiled at Brian walking out the door behind Tim as they walked up to a black two door. Nikki stood behind Tim;
"What's that?"
Nikki asked her curly blonde hair pulled neatly into a pony tail
"It's a car? Didn't they have these in Hyrule?"
He asked with a questionable look looking at the female;
"No we had horses"
"horses...How did you get one them?"
"A box.."
Nikki answered as she sat in the car and mimicked Tim by fastening her seat belt.
"Say answer me this.."
"Hm?"
"Why are you so shy? But as soon as you're offended your entire personality changes. Like you're a different person,,'
Nikki grew quite twiddling her thumbs as her ears leaned back as she slowly kicked her feet.

"Well, my father wasn't all there you know. He is what you people call Nar-cis-sis-tic, Narcissistic, Sadistic, insane. He had mental issues, he could be sweet and caring one moment but in the next be nothing but pure evil."
Nikki paused as she began glowing a light blue as her long blonde hair turned a firey red, her emerald green eyes faded into a golden yellow, her porcelain skin turning a light grey, she reached in her purse pulling out a golden crown with three red rupees that made a downward point that stopped in the middle of her forehead as she put it on. Tim's eyes widened as a light blush took over his cheeks;
"This is what I really look like. I take after my father so much, it hurts. The only thing I have in common with my mother is her pure heart, and caring loving nature."
It was silent for a moment before Tim cleared his throat
"No Matter who you take after I will always see you as the shrimp of this group of misfits."
Tim started coughing hard and reached in his pants pocket and took out a bottle of pills that were oval and white. After that he started the car grabbing his Marlboro reds and taking one out and lighting it taking a drag from it as he began to drive out of Sacramento
"Where are we going?"
"To a small town called Rosswood, my doctor is there."
"Why drag me along?"
Tim was quite for a moment taking another hit off his cigarette
"Because I don't like going places alone."
Nikki returned to the fake appearance she was wearing and took the crown off and placed it back on her bag as her ears tinted pink
"Why not Brian?"
"because I grew up with Brian, hell we even dated once upon a time but we know each other like we know the back of our hands.'
Nikki sat quietly looking out the window down the long stretch of road as she tried to think of something to say
"what happened between you and Brian?"

There was a moment of silence only sound coming from the air conditioner
"You didn't hear it form me, but, Brian is a cyborg, If you know him well enough than you will see that when he gets excited his stuttered, his mind is literally a computer, yes he is able to feel basic human emotions like; love, rage, sorrow, hate, empathy and all of the others."
Tim paused for a moment looking at Nikki than back at the road
"When we were together before I knew he worked for Operator I was his target, not to kill, just to stalk, and well this drove me crazy I wanted him gone I wanted him to just stop. And one day he was watching me from the ledge of a balcony in an abandoned building at our collage and I pushed him crushing his spine leaving him to die slowly and painfully."
Nikki looked at Tim in utter shock from what she could tell Tim was a strong self kept man, but here he was pouring all this out to her. At last the car stopped in front of a small psychiatrist office
"What's a Psy-chi-atr-ists?"
"Psychiatrist, it's a mental health doctor to help me with my black outs, mind grains, and hallucination."
"Psychiatrist."
"yes."

The two got out of the car and walked up to the office as Tim opened the door for her.
"Thank-You."
"Mm hmm."
As the two walked in Nikki stayed close to Tim;
"Hello Timothy."
"Hey Susan!"
The middle aged women with make-up that resembled barbie caked on her face with long frizzy blondish brown hair to match. As Nikki tippie toed to look over the counter the women

"Why Timothy~ Is this adorable short women your girlfriend?"
Nikki's ears tinted pink just like Tim's face
"No, she's just a friend."
"Oh Tim, such a good looking guy like you needs a nice looking girl like her! You're 19 you need to find a cute girl!"
Tim's face began to get darker
"Hey Nikki, why don't you go next door to the book store?"
"Okay!"
Nikki loved books and with that being said she walked out of the office and next door to the store. The store looked like an old Victorian home ran by a small little old lady. As Nikki walked around the vast collection of books eventually reaching the back of the store where the magic and alchemy books were located. As she looked at the books that cluttered the selves. As she read the titles of the books only a select few caught her eyes. As she grabbed a magic book called The World Of Magic and an alchemy book called
"Transmutation Dos and Don'ts!" 
As she began walking back to the front of the store another book caught her eye and it was titled
"Reading People: How to Tell How People Feel! "
Nikki grabbed the book and walked up to the front of the store and placed the books on the counter
"I would like to buy these please.."
The elderly lady looked up from her book just enough to see Nikki's eyes peeping over the counter as the lady click clacked the numbers on her cash register
"That will be 45$"
Nikki smiled and pulled out four blue rupees and a green one.
"Will this cover this?"
The womens eyes widened at the sight of the precious gems
'Why yes!'
Nikki smiled and walked back out and into the doctor's office she sat down in the chair and pulled out one of her new books and and began reading. As she continued reading a man wearing a white over coat with a black pants and a light blue button up that was tucked in.
