Race.

It was all my mind could play as we sat in the break room of the day. Solana had feelings since no day one about him, but I never did. Though, I did have a hint that he liked me then I was like no he can't like me until when he kissed me clicked into my brain.

We didn't say anything to each other as we ate.
I can't believe the new information that I'm getting.

Killian was so scared in that video and all I can do is play it over and over again because I'm the one who put him in there in the first place.

"Ladies!" Lisa squeals, showing her presence and entering the break room.

Solana and I don't speak.

"Hey? What's wrong with you two?" She goes to sit in between us.

I looked up at Solana and she nodded as if she already trusted Lisa.

"Nothing," I mumble.

Lisa doesn't believe me. "You two are acting strange. Is there something I should know about?" She crossed her arms.

I put my yogurt cup and looked around the room for no cameras or people walking by. Solana does the same. Once the coast was clear for us to speak, I let out a shaky breath and turned to her. Her face was up close to mine. Lisa raised an eyebrow, waiting for one of us to speak.

I was debating in my head if I should tell her or Solana. We weren't even that close to Lisa since she was new and all. Sometimes I've seen her try her best on things that don't make sense to her like it does for me.

She sighs, deciding to speak up.

"I'm gonna guess," She sits up straight, reaching over for one of the fruits in the middle. "It's a person."

We nod.

"Some secrets are inter-played." She bites into the juice apple.

We nod again.

"Something isn't going to end well." She mumbles, taking another bite. The juice of the apple fell from her lips slowly. What does she know?

"What are you getting with Lisa?" Solana got suspicious and crossed her arms.

Lisa shrugs, taking another bite. "Nothing, it's just.." She trails off.

"It's just what?" Solana and I say in unison.

She smirks and goes to speak, but a doctor comes in looking for her. It was around noon and Killian needed his pills. Lisa nods, spotting up from her seat. She winks down at both of me and Solana before walking out leaving her bitten apple on the table.

When the door closed behind her, me and Solana looked back at each other.

"She knows something." She grits.

I nod. "But what?

The day has officially come to an end and I'm outside waiting for Solana to hurry up and come out. I was her driver of the day because her car wasn't working this morning and there was no way she was going to miss work today.

I was busy on my phone to see who came up to me and stood upright. My phone disappeared from me and I gasped. Ready to curse the person out, I see it's Lisa. A sweet smile formed on her face.

"Can I help you?" I snatched my phone back, slipping it into my pocket.

"Yes." She takes my hand and runs to a secluded area of the parking lot.

I grunt once we stop and I take my hand away.
"What is it, Lisa?" I mumble.

Lisa checks her surroundings before clearing her throat. Her sweet smile went blunt.

"We both know this isn't just some regular hospital. You, me, and Solana." Her voice was low. "Something about the Boss and everyone here doesn't feel right."

I nod and then cross my arms. "What are you trying to tell me, Lisa?"

"Many things, but I'd rather keep it on the basics." She shrugs.

Here I am thinking that Lisa is a sweet girl with possible millions in her name, but in reality, she is a little trix. She is still shy most of the time, but now I think of it. She knows what she's doing. She just puts this whole act on to make those new to her, trust her.

"You're a little sneaker than I thought." I scowl the girl in front of me.

"What? I'm a lot closer than many think." She mimics me.

The text message.

I know such a thing because I follow around when you don't know.

Realization hits my face and Lisa's smirk grows.

"It's Race." Her voice coated as a whisper. "He's one of the many to know what's going on."
