It was the worst thing because when you both attended Hopes Peak Academy, Kazuichi immediately had his eyes on Sonia Nevermind, known as the ultimate princess he always tried to talk to Soina but always ended up backfiring because of Kazuichi saying uncomfortable stuff there and there causing Sonia to have a negative opinion on him
She always asked why you were so close to him, but you thought helping him would be the best thing to do, so you tried your best to make him and Sonia a compatible relationship by telling Sonia he's more then a simp for her and at least should give him a try to get along
Sonia wasn't phased at first, but she wanted to listen to her friends and hang out with Kazuichi more. Soon, she started to see why you liked Kazuichi he was a nice guy who just wanted to be friends with her
Kazuichi didn't want to ask Sonia out because he had a great friendship with Sonia, and if he asked Sonia on a date that would ruin not what he had but your sacrifices in order to have him and Sonia be so close
Kazuichi told you about this, and of course, you didn't wanna help because you love him, but it's too late already. Sonia seems to like Kazuichi more than friends to so as much you didn't want to you've made it your best not to more it serious but tell Sonia Kazuichi wants to go on a date with her
To you and Kazuichis's surprise, Sonia said
"I wouldn't mind mind going out with Kazuichi he's a great friend, so of course I wouldn't mind,"
Kazuichi: Wait, Sonia, you mean it?!
Sonia: Of course you've shown that you are a great guy and possibly more
Kazuichi: So if I asked you, will you?
Sonia: It seems like fun
Kazuichi: Oh my god! Thank you, Sonia! I- I mean, I will try my best to show you a great time as a friend
Sonia: I'm sure I'll be pleased with this date
Kazuichi: I pick you up at....3pm?
Sonia: I see you then
Sonia smiles at Kazuichi as she leaves
Kazuichi immediately jumped at you
Kazuichi: Reader, can you believe it! I get to go on a date with Sonia! This is incredible! Do you have ideas because I really want to show Sonia a good time!

You had to help Kazuichi with his outfit and hair cause you know he has "unique" clothes, so you've helped him get ready
Kazuichi: Ok, got my hair and clothes done. Is there anything else I'm missing?
Reader: Do you have your house keys?
Kazuichi: Yep, in my pocket
Reader: You have your wallet?
Kazuichi: It's over there by my drawer
Reader: Okay, good cause I ain't helping you this time to get something for you
Kazuichi: It was one time I, Fuyuhiko, and Nagito went out, and I left my phone here
Reader: Even though it was stupid, it was a funny event
Kazuichi: I mean, I guess OH before I go I have to tell you something
Reader: Sure, what is it?
Kazuichi walked up to you, putting his hands on your shoulders
Kazuichi: You are truly the best friend I could ever want. You've always helped me even if I said I didn't need you, and now, because of you, I have a chance with Sonia, and I wanna thank you for helping me sort things out with Sonia and you being the world's greatest friend
Hearing "friend" felt like a dagger in your chest
Kazuichi: I think it's about time I leave. Wish me luck
