"Hi, what can I get for you today?" The girl excitedly said, pulling out a small notepad from her black apron. She had a pen in hand, ready to take her order but Mikha took notice of how the pretty girl held her pen.
She held it so dumb, but it was a bit cute.
"Uh-h." She mumbled.
Aiah blinked and put her notebook down, sliding her pen back in her apron smiling at the shy red haired girl.
"How about a cup of coffee?" She recommended.
"S-Sure." Mikha gulped, finding this particular brunette to be very pretty.
Aiah went to the back, pouring a cup of black coffee and placed it in front of Mikha who only stared at with a small furrow of her brows.
Aiah noticed the blank stare and questioned her entire existence. "Have you never had coffee.." The brunette mumbled.
Mikha shook her head and glanced at the cup of blackness in front of her. She grabbed the handle and took a gentle sip, squirming in her seat when the hot bitterness hit the back of her throat.
"Holy sh-"
"If you don't like it black, then put some sugar and cream in it, you big dumb." Aiah laughed, her eyes formed those eyesmile that Mikha caught and found peculiar of her.
First of all, she can't believe the girl insulted her by calling her a big dumb right off the bat.
Second of all, she didn't think someone's eyes could flex into that kind of shape.
Third of all, it came from a pretty girl too.
Aiah then shoved Mikha over on the booth seat and reached over to grab some packets of sugar and the cream jug, pouring it in and stirring it for her before sliding the cup back to Mikha.
Squeezed in the corner, the girl picked it up and drank it nervously under the watch of Aiah who was a little too close to her.
"How is it? Does it taste good?" Aiah said with a wide grin.
"Y-Yes." Mikha stuttered.
"Aiah! Get your ass back here and chop some lettuce, a customer wants a BLT extra-"
"Okay!" She yelled back. "Sorry, I have to go now. Hopefully I'll see you later." Mikha winced at the volume coming from the size of the girl.
Mikha merely nodded and watched as the girl sprang from the seat and dashed to the back to fill in the order.
She watched in amusement for an hour or so, hand still holding the cup of coffee in her palm.
To be truthful, she only came to the cafe to see Aiah because she recognized her in their English class.
It was only a mere crush, she told herself but then soon found herself in the very place that girl worked at.
Every time Aiah passed Mikha to serve a table, she'd come past by Mikha's again and smile at her warmly, asking her if everything was okay every 3rd time she passed.
Mikha laughed to herself every single time, only because she had a cup of coffee that was half empty and nothing more. There wasn't anything to check up on, nor was there anything else left to serve her.
Just before paying the bill, she went to the bathroom and returned to her seat to gather her things but found a pink sugar packet on top of her jacket
In loopy handwriting that seemed as bubbly as the girl was her name and her phone number.
Mikha touched it and flipped to the back, eager to see if Aiah left anything else other than a number and her name, and she did.
'Come back next time, I'll teach you how to make milk tea or something ^-^!' - Aiah
And she did almost daily, and they made every single thing on the menu, minus the food because Mikha for the life of her couldn't cook.
