Our story begins in a small town in the United States of America called Chromebook, where a girl named Malia Cantral was born. She had fair skin like her mother, Stacey Cantral, and green eyes like her father, Daylan Cantral. However, destiny seemed to play a cruel joke on this poor girl, as her birth had complications, and her mother succumbed to death. This left her father heartbroken, seeing his newborn daughter connected to machines to keep her alive.

After this traumatic event, her father became overprotective, as Malia was the only person he had left in the world. They only had each other, and he vowed to protect her with his life.

Five years later, in kindergarten, Malia met her best friend and neighbor, Lily Davies, a brunette with brown eyes , altruistic, and creative girl with big ideas and a huge heart. They were inseparable, but Malia's father's paranoia limited them. He had rules for everything, like eating, playing, and who to play with. Poor Malia rarely left the house, and when she did, she had to wear a lot of protection because her father was red-haired, and she had sensitive skin like him.

Malia grew up struggling to make friends and communicate with her father, but with her best friend's help, everything seemed possible. Until one day in fifth grade, she met a girl named Nathaly Wilson. They formed a perfect trio: a quiet, intelligent, and organized girl; an altruistic, affectionate, and caring girl; and a determined, courageous, and attentive girl.

Now, let's get to the story ;)

Malia's point of view:

Today isn't just any day, it's the first day of eighth grade and I'm happy but also very nervous, so I started my day waking up at 6:00 am. I've been waiting so long for this day! And it's the first day of class! I wonder if we'll have new students, I can barely wait! After making my bed and setting out my clothes for the first day, I organized my school supplies because today has to be perfect! Then, I dragged myself to the bathroom to wash my face, brush my teeth, and take a bath to get ready and go downstairs for breakfast with my dad. After that, I said goodbye to my dad and went to meet my dear friend Lily, who's always waiting for me at the door, and we walked to Nathy's house so we can all go to school together . We've had this routine since fifth grade. Honestly, I like it better this way; I'm afraid things will change and they'll leave me behind, but I think that won't happen, right?

Malia - Good morning!

Lily - Good morning, why are you so excited? It's just another school day.

Malia - It's not just another school day, it's the first day!

Lily - And how were your vacations?

Malia - You know, the same old thing: staying home watching movies and listening to my dad talk about the cases he worked on last year.

Lily - He could have let you travel with us, it would've been so cool! Even Nathy went.

Malia - But you know my dad; he wouldn't let me go even if it were the safest place in the world.

Lily - Come on, Nathy must be waiting.

When we arrived at Nathy's house, we had a different scene than usual. Nathy was talking to a girl who had just arrived from Los Angeles, Alex Williams. I had nothing against her; she had just arrived, but she was different.

As soon as we got to school, we checked which classroom we were in, and to my surprise, we were all in the same class! Not that it's a bad thing, but I don't know how to explain it.

At the end of all classes, I told my dad I'd be studying at Nathy's house, but it was just an excuse. She called me because she had something important to talk about. A perfect excuse not to go home and stare at my dad for hours without saying anything; that's awkward. So, Lily and I went to Nathy's house.
