As she walked out of the dense forest, Yan Jue was filled with the spoils of the night.

The evening breeze was brisk, and the forest air was fresh.

Yan Jue looked up at the shining stars above and raised her hand to smell her own scent.

Sure enough, there was a strong presence of demonic energy.

Monsters and humans are fundamentally different.

Fortunately, she was protected by the Northern Sea Black Iron; otherwise, with this overwhelming demonic aura, she would have had no idea what to do.

Closing her eyes, Yan Jue silently recited the Spirit Communication Spell. The Northern Sea Black Iron contracted violently, tightly binding her skin and absorbing the excess demonic energy.

She felt a pure stream of true energy gradually surge into her body, which finally relieved her.

Yan Jue leisurely strolled down the streets of Fengxian Town, intending to visit the town's market.

As she walked, she suddenly heard cries coming from nearby.

Startled, she stopped in her tracks.

The cries were faint and indistinct.

Following the sound, Yan Jue entered a narrow alley. By the moonlight, she saw an old woman in tattered clothes lying on the ground, crying.

Her cries were sorrowful and mournful.

It seemed the old woman had fallen, and nearby, eggs and cabbage were scattered everywhere, with visible wounds on her arms.

Yan Jue approached and asked, "Are you alright, grandma?"

The old woman jumped at the sound of her voice and turned to look at her.

A young girl stood in the moonlight.

Yan Jue wore a black cross-collared floral pleated skirt, with a golden necklace hanging around her neck. Her narrow sleeves were neat, and her posture was straight.

She had a conical hat with a veil on her head, obscuring her face, but one could see that her skin was as white as snow and her long, narrow eyes were slightly raised, looking at her with concern through the veil.

She radiated a heroic spirit, and one could vaguely see her delicate features, which made her appear exceedingly gentle.

This appearance was quite remarkable.

The old woman swallowed hard, concealing the ecstatic look in her eyes, and lamented, "I went out late at night to fetch some goods, but who knew I lost my balance and dropped everything..."

Yan Jue was taken aback. "What will you do now? It's already so late; there shouldn't be any vendors outside the city."

The old woman sighed, "I can only wait until tomorrow. But my body can't get up... I'm really useless!"

Yan Jue replied, "Don't worry; I'll help you. Where do you live?"

Sometimes, Yan Jue couldn't stand herself.
