Tom sat there for what felt like hours, before leaving to go to his room in the prefects wing of Slytherin common room, his mind racing, trying to piece together the fragments of his past. He couldn't understand why she had called him "her Tommy". He had no memory of being anyone's Tommy. But the heartbreak in her eyes, the pain in her voice... they screamed of a lost love, a love that he couldn't remember sharing. His mind was a maelstrom of regret and confusion, the emotions warring within him like a storm at sea well he walked to his room.
When he finally gets to his room and sits on his bed, he just sits there with his hands in his hair. Just when it seemed like he couldn't bear it any longer, a voice broke through his thoughts.
Abraxas: "Tom?"
Tom looked up to see Abraxas standing in the doorway, his usually unruffled expression now tinged with concern. Tom's usually stoic facade shattered at that moment. The weight of his emotions, the guilt and confusion, all came pouring out in a moment of vulnerability. He looked at Abraxas with tormented eyes, his usual composure gone.
Tom: "I messed up, Abraxas. I messed up big time..."
Abraxas's concern deepened, his eyes flickering with surprise at the raw emotion in Tom's voice. He had never seen Tom this troubled before.
Abraxas: "What happened, Tom? You look... distressed."
Tom shook his head, a mix of anger and self-recrimination in his gaze. He clenched his fists, the guilt and confusion boiling over.
Tom: "I can't remember, Abraxas. I can't
Abraxas: "Can't remember what, Tom?"
Abraxas's voice was calm and steady, contrasting sharply with Tom's agitation. He knew Tom was a private person who didn't like to show weakness. Clearly whatever had happened was serious if it had affected him this much. Tom let out a frustrated growl, the words spilling out in a rush of emotion.
Tom: "I can't remember her, Abraxas. I can't remember her and she came to see me... said we made a promise... a promise that I can't recall..."
His voice cracked, the vulnerability he had rarely shown to anyone revealing the depths of his torment. Abraxas's concern grew as he took in Tom's words. The thought of Tom, usually so composed, losing his memory of someone so important was alarming.
Abraxas: "Slow down, Tom. Who is this 'her' that you can't remember?"

Tom looked at him, his eyes haunted by an unnameable pain.
Tom: "She called me 'her Tommy'. She said we had made a promise... a promise to be together."
He choked on the last word, the gravity of his forgotten vow weighing heavily on his heart. Tom looked at him, his eyes haunted by an unnameable pain.

He choked on the last word, the gravity of his forgotten vow weighing heavily on his heart. Abraxas rushes out of the room and down the hall, something clearly clicking in his brain. Tom watches Abraxas rush out of the room, confusion mixing with the guilt and confusion already tormenting him. Abraxas's sudden departure, and the look of revelation on his face, were puzzling. He pushed himself up from the wall, a flicker of hope burning through the haze of his despair. He followed after Abraxas, his steps quick and purposeful.
Abraxas goes into his room and grabs a box from his closet. Tom hovers in the doorway, watching silently as Abraxas rummages through his closet. The box Abraxas pulls out is old and dusty, hinting at years of storage. Tom's curiosity grows. What could be in that box that has Abraxas this determined? He shows Tom the cover. "Tommy + Robyn" the names were in a heart and "Robyn" was scratched out and replaced with "Future wife"
