"When is the coronation, Your Majesty?" Sitting on the throne didn't feel as good as I thought it would.
Paying off half of my father's army was almost too easy. I glare at the people below me. There is this sick feeling in my chest like I just won't make it.
"I'm not in a hurry. The pope must be busy as well. I have more important things to worry about like the whereabouts of my father."
I look up at my father's lapdog better known as the commander of Xiona. I notice he still wearing a uniform despite this being a party. I lean back on my Throne. "You should know where he is though. Being close to him and all. That's how you rose to your rank didn't you?"  He didn't dare flinch or blink at my accusations.
"If you are implying that I became successful because of my connections to your father then you're wrong and I would hardly call us close."
I rolled my eyes at his words. "I'm not implying anything. I'm just giving you a fair warning, I don't take bribes easily like my father does; like you do."

He scoffs slightly and stomps away but stops halfway.
He spins back around.
"Just to let you know, I know nothing about the whereabouts of the king but have a lovely evening."
He says with a grin on his face.
For an entire week, there was nothing but dancing and eating.

An entire week of covering for my sister's death. How long do I have to hide the truth?
How long do I have to keep it Chained? On the first day, I had successfully taken over my father's kingdom
I announced that my sister was dead. That she had been assassinated and we don't know by who and her maid was to take responsibility. Considering she is her caretaker.

My sister loved parties like this. I hated them. I only went because she went.
"Can you believe what happened to Eythora?" I hear a voice from across the room.  " I can't believe it, I haven't seen her since she went to that party dorian hosted in Xara."
"It's such a shame she would have made a great queen." The group nodded.
"I didn't think she would die so quickly." she looks up quickly then looks away from the group. Her eyes were set on the Throne with her arms crossed. "It was so sudden," she says with a cracked voice.
I look at the ring in her hand. A chuckle escapes my mouth as the glass touches my lips. Is Delieha Blackmoore getting married?
"Xavier! I need to talk to you." I take in his panicked face. "Alone, now."  he grabs my arm and takes me out into the hallway. "What are you doing here?!"
"Listen, remember your sister's maid?" I raised my eyebrow.
"What about her?" at this point I am freaking out.
"she claims that your sister is alive."
"There is no way she is alive, Andrew. I made sure of it."

"She seems pretty convinced. She wants to talk to you."
"Everyone wants to talk to me, sunshine. Do yourself a favor. Have a drink and relax."
"I'm working and you should be too." I can't help but let a smirk creep up my face as I look down at him.
Andrew was slightly younger than me so naturally he was shorter. "You look so stiff in the uniform. "
"I know you might find this hard to believe but I like my job and it's better than being the king of this dump."  my lips form into a thin line.
"I'll go talk to her; keep our guest occupied."
I shout at them to get my boat ready and I take a swing of my drink.
I slam my drink down on the table. The icy cold wind beats down on my face. The smell of the salt made me remember the first time my father took me fishing.

"Ugh, when am I going to catch one? You already caught six of them to fish hog." I kicked my feet back and forth. Calling quits I pick up a rock. "Xavier, you have to wait and be quiet to catch a fish or you will scare it off."
"I'm not even that loud," I said skipping a rock in the waters. I pick up another one and my father grabs it from my hand. "Throwing rocks in the water is going to scare the fish away for starters. I know you are young but you have to be patient or the fish will slip away. Do you want that to happen?" I mumble a no under my breath.
"All good kings are patient and know when to act.
Through patience, a ruler can be persuaded, and a gentle tongue can break a bone."
I crossed my arms "I'm not a young. I'm nine almost ten."

I laughed at the memory and felt the boat come to a stop.
Obsidian island. I exit the boat and my boots sink into the sand.

I glare at the guards and they flinch. I walk through the doors and walk to her cell.
"Phoebe." She looks up at me. "You claimed that my sister was alive but she isn't." Her hand gripped onto the bars.
"She is. I saw her with my own two eyes." I laughed
"That guilt must be getting to you."
Her eye was watering "No, I saw her. She's alive."
I nodded my head. "Maybe but who's gonna believe the
Servant being punished for her death?" She backs away
And falls to the floor.
"NO! She's not dead. She's not dead.. " she pulled at her hair and started the mumbling. "You have to let me... she innocent. She didn't do anything."
She slowly lets go of her hair and holds her stomach.
Phoebe looks up at me full of fury.

"This is your fault. You couldn't wait to kill me could you?"
A smile rose on my lips. "Someone had to be held responsible. You managed to be the perfect fit."
I shrugged.
