The first cover for ADT was the title page image from the game. Eventually, I created my own cover using free elements in Canva. I think it turned out well. But I'm not a graphics designer by any means, and I figured I'd order a cover from a graphics shop at some point in the future.
Then, ADT earned 3rd place in The Aureus Awards 2024 by -sarawrites-, and part of the prize was a free cover. So, I put in an order at her shop, Enchantress | A Graphic Workshop on her account -authorsara (link in the in-line comments). I didn't know what I was doing, or what I wanted, but she put up with my vague directions and indecision and came up with three gorgeous covers. Isn't it beautiful? This one is probably my favorite, although I forgot to tell her Ivetta has straight black hair.
But she did a revision for me right away. Her hair is still a bit curly, but it's fine. I love it.
And then there's this one. The swan is an interesting choice, and while I can't use it for ADT, it gives me ideas. Maybe for A Warped Tale. I'm changing just about everything for that story, anyway... Hm...
This is the last one. Aren't they all so pretty?
I've been thinking about ordering custom banners for the end of each chapter instead of the general banner I use for all my books here on Wattpad, and she makes banners, too, so I may put in an order for that when I get a chance to read one of her books as part of payment. I've selected Agami, but I'm swamped with judging right now, so it will be a little while until I can get to that.
Oh, my goodness! lostlovefairy surprised me with a cover she made that I didn't even order, and I love it! I can't use it for a while, since I need to use a cover I ordered first, but I can show it off.
And then she made me another one. Also, I get a chapter in her fan art book! 😭😍🥰🫂
