I woke up (again) to a room full of white coats at electronic desks positioned similarly to a NASA launch team. No one seemed to notice me or maybe they just didn't really care. At the front of the room was a blonde man in a suit standing at a large glass window. He kinda looked like my father. Wait a minute. The man turned to face me and began to pace in my direction. I hadn't noticed before but two white coats behind me had been holding my arms, possibly so I couldn't try to run away. I could finally see the man clearly. There before me stood Epstein Vulcanstein. Tall, pale, and an aura of arrogance about him no matter how you looked at him you'd never feel financially safe. I wish someone would tell me what that meant. Regardless, it had been 6 years, 9 months, 5 weeks, and 3 days since he left me to rot and I only had one thing to say to this man.

"Are you hard right now?"

A swift blow to my stomachs came as a response sending me wrenching to the floor. I took that reaction as a yes.

"Is that blood on your face?" My father cocked his head like he had stepped down to some lower level by even talking to me. Jokes on him. That blood was from the vent rats. He pinched the bridge of his nose with two fingers and began to pace.

"Do you have any idea where you are YOU ALCOHOLIC LUNATIC!" He paced back, wiping the sweat off his brow with a huff.

"If you were actually competent in any way you'd have the potential to ruin everything I've fought and killed for. But you found your way in here without a care in the world and instead of running away you got yourself caught. You never were very bright were you?"

I spit blood out of my mouth still wrenching from the initial blow. "So what, I interrupted your little geek fest? Boo fucking hoo daddy dearest. Now give me the boot and go back to acting like I don't exist. Seriously I won't tell anyone, not only do I not care but either way no one will believe me if I told them."

His expression didn't change, the air of the room felt wrong like I was missing an inside joke that was obvious to everyone else but me. He took out a metal object and began to smirk as he spoke. "Restrain it." The two white coats pinned me to the ground, one of them holding my head up. He's bluffing.

"Do you remember your first real doctor's visit? You screamed and cried the whole time at all the sharp tools." He revealed the rusty pair of pliers in his hand angling it to point to my chin.

"You had a cavity ri~ght there and we had to get a filling" I began to sweat. He had to be bluffing. "Fun fact, that is the only thing left that's tying the two of us together, without that dental record they won't be able to identify you." The second white coat pried my mouth open. I jerked and tried to resist but I couldn't break free. He grasped the pliers onto the tooth. Wait no he can't be serious right? Why isn't anyone doing anything? Why aren't they helping me? No please don't take it.! I can't die like this. I haven't done anything yet but this can't be it. Haha good joke dad, now kick me out and forget about me again dammit.

As if reading my mind he spoke. "Maybe you'll see one day what I'm doing here is for your own good."

No.
