Delilah's POV

Caity and I walk into the mall and I nearly have to jog to keep up with her. She's on a mission, and she isn't slowing down. "Okay, you need jeans, shorts, a pair of combat boots, some tops, and a fake ID." Caity lists as we walk into forever 21.
"Why do I need a fake ID?" I ask her, starting to get worried. "Because the Dallas venue is a club, and you're a minor, therefor you can't get in unless you have a fake ID." She says as if I'm supposed to know. "Caity, I'm not sure if I can fit into those." I say as she flings a pair of tight looking jeans over my arm.
"Just trust me, Delilah. I'm not gonna let you look like a whore, I promise. I'm just.. helping you to be more confident." Caity says. "Now, go try these on, I'll wait outside." She says and pushes me towards the dressing rooms.
I smile and shake my head when I go inside the little stall.

Caity ends up buying me two outfits and I buy the other two, and she got two outfits for herself. She picked mine out, and she actually chose some things that I really liked. She did better than I thought she would. Now, we're walking to the hair salon.
"Alright, you said you wanted to get a trim, right?" Caity asks me while we walk in.
"Yeah, I was thinking about color, too." I say. "That's what I told your sister; DANIELLE!" She yells, making me jump. I see my oldest sister standing at her station, waving her hands over her head. I smile and wave at her. "C'mon, Delilah! Lemme fix you up!" She says.
I hand Caity my bags and go sit at my sisters station.

"What color were you thinking about?" Danielle asks me while she washes my hair. "I was thinking Gray." I say as she massages my scalp. "Gray? That's a bit out there, don't you think?" She asks me.
"I'm bored with brown." I say. She takes me back to her station where she cuts a good thirteen inches of my hair, and refuses to let me look in the mirror.
Danielle fans Caity over, and she quickly bounds over. "Oh, Lilah, you'll love this." She says, running her fingers through my damp hair.
"I hope so, Cait." I say. "What color are you doing?" She asks me. "Gray." I reply. She smirks.
"That's a little outside the box." Caity says. "I'm tired of being in the box." I answer.
"Gray it is." Danielle says and leads me over to the bleaching station.

After three half hour bleach treatments, two deep conditions, and a lot of reassurance, Danielle is coming the dye through my now blonde hair. "God, Delilah, I never thought I'd see you with dye in your hair." Danielle says. "Tell me about it! I always thought she'd stay brown." Caity says.
"I was tired of it." I shrug my shoulders.

About twenty minutes later, Danielle rinses the dye from my hair and lets Caity blow-dry it while she runs to the back for more conditioner.
"Delilah, you're gonna love this. I know I do." She says. "I hope so, I'm nervous about it." I say. Danielle returns with some hairspray and a bottle of leave in conditioner. Caity finishes up and turns the hairdryer off.
"This will help your hair to stay super soft, shiny, and it'll take all the frizz away." Danielle explains, squirts a quarter sized amount into her palm and gently runs it through my hair.
"It smells good." I say. "Doesn't it?" My sister asks me. "Okay, Delilah, are you ready?" She asks me. "I'm nervous." I say. Caity and Danielle spin the chair around to face the mirror and I gasp. I look at the mirror in shock as I gently run my fingers through my silvery gray hair.

I absolutely love it. She cut it the exact length I was thinking about, and I feel like a brand new person. "I love it!!!" I exclaim, turning around to throw my arms around my sister and best friend.
"I'm glad, Delilah." Danielle says. "You look so good!" Caity squeals.
"Than you so much, Danielle." I say, hugging my sister again. "It's not a problem, Dee." She replies.

Caity and I leave the hair salon after we say goodbye to Danielle, and we head towards our next stop. The makeup store.

She buys a few tubes of eyeliner and one tube of dark lipstick, and she leads me towards the shoe store.  "You'll need two pairs of shoes to go with your new outfits, and I have just the thing in mind." Caity says and drags me towards the boots. "These are cute." I say and point to a pair of hombre looking combat boots. "What size do you need?" She asks me. "Six or six and a half." I say.
Caity rummages around then pulls a box from the bottom. She hands me the box and I try them on, walking up and down the isle a few times. "They're really comfortable." I say. "They're cute, too." I say. "I think I'll get them." I say and sit on the little bench to change back into my vans.
"I'm buying them for you." Caity says, puts them in the box. "Caity, you don't have to." I say.
"It was my idea to give you a makeover, therefor I will buy you some things." She says.
"Also, since you wear a six, I have a pair of black combat boots at home you can have if you like them." She says and leads me to the front of the store after we finish browsing the shelves.

"Alright, I think that's everything." She says while we walk to the car.
"What's the point in getting a makeover, anyways?" I ask her as I stuff the bags into the trunk.
"Well, the point is to make you feel beautiful, and to make Brent jealous." She replies.
"Make him jealous?" I ask her. "Yes, make him jealous. You got clothes to flatter your figure, not like those baggy sweaters and leggings. Those really don't suit you, Lilah." Caity says and I laugh.
"What's wrong with big sweaters?" I ask her. "They hide your natural shape, and they swallow you whole and make you look small. The clothes we got today will make you see what you've been hiding." She says. "The high waisted jeans and loose cropped shirts will flatter your shape without making you feel too sexy." Caity says.
"Is David gonna kill me?" I ask her. She laughs. "No. You aren't showing any skin, so you'll be good. The shirts reach your bellybutton and the jeans are like an inch above it. You're good." She says.

"Brent won't even know what hit him." Caity says.
