Dueling club and Parselmouths

A few days later, (sorry it doesn't make sense. I looked on a timeline and it says it was a month and ten days after the match that the dueling club takes place, so I guess it's a month and a week after this?) Harry, Ron, Hermione, and I are all in the girl's bathroom. Hermione's brewing the Polyjuice potion, while Harry tells us about what happened in the hospital wing the other night.

"'Again'?  You mean the Chamber of Secrets has been opened before?" Hermione asks.

"Of course. Don't you see? Lucius Malfoy must have opened it when he was at school here. And now he's taught Draco how to do it." Ron confirms.

"Maybe. We'll have to wait for the Polyjuice  potion to know for sure." Hermione said.

"Enlighten me. Why are we brewing this potion in broad daylight in the middle of a girls' lavatory? Don't you think we'll get caught?" Ron asked Hermione.

"No. No one ever comes in here." Hermione answers.

"Why?" Ron asks.

"Moaning Myrtle," Hermione and I say together.

"Who?" Ron asks.

Then the ghost we call Moaning Myrtle comes in crying, which is how she got her nickname.

"Moaning Myrtle." Hermione answers again.

"Who's Moaning Myrtle?" Ron asks.

"I'M MOANING MYRTLE!" She says flying to the center of the bathroom. "I wouldn't expect you to know me. Who would ever talk about ugly, miserable, moping, Moaning Myrtle?" She says with a shriek, then flies into the toilet.

"She's a little sensitive," Hermione explains.

"Poor girl. Everyone makes fun of her, even after her death. Can't even leave her to mope in peace," I say.

I look to Harry. He appears to still be mad at me.

"Harry, I just wanted to tell you I'm SO sorry for leaving you, if I'd have known it would hurt your feelings, I would've stayed with you and let the teachers help Draco. I never meant to hurt you. I hope you can forgive me," I say to him.

He just looks at me for a moment before averting his eyes.

"Oh come on Harry, you've got to forgive Y/n, you've got to! She's apologized, and feels really bad. She just wanted to make everyone happy," Hermione protested on my behalf.

He seemed to think it over for a minute.

"Oh come on mate. I mean yes, at first I just thought she didn't care, but now I realize she cares too much." Ron said.

I nodded at both of their statements.

Harry looked at both of them, then to me, and finally sighed and said, "Alright,"

I smiled. "Thank you so much Harry!" I said hugging him. When we pulled apart, he seemed to be holding back a smile.

About a month and a week later, we were all gathered in the Great Hall, for what we heard was a dueling club they were starting.

I wondered who would teach it.

I then see Professor Lockhart walk up onto the stage and my excitement fades a little.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he's a... great person, but he's certainly not fit to lead a dueling club. Especially after what he did to Harry's arm.

"Gather round! Gather round!" He says, we gather around the stage. "Can everybody see me? Can you all hear me? Excellent. In light of the dark events of recent weeks, Professor Dumbledore has granted me permission to start this little Dueling Club, to train you all up in case you ever need to defend yourselves, as I myself have done on countless occasions.
