Twilight, otherwise known as Loid Forger, was sitting across from Sylvia Sherwood, or the handler. Discussing Operation Strix

"So, Twilight. I trust all is going well, regards to your family." The handler asked in a somewhat skeptical tone. As if she already knows there's something a bit off.

Which, yes, there is. A few things, actually. For starters, Anya still hasn't been able to get close enough to Damian Desmond. Aside from some occasions where she'd be able to talk with him in group projects, That Twilight obviously had something to do with making that happen.

But that wasn't enough. And Yor, as nieve as she can be, she might be catching on.

Just a few days ago, she popped in at Twilight's workplace to drop off his lunch; he forgot and to say hi. Only to hear that he called sick and wouldn't make it to the office. It's not like he was home either because she was at home that day.

As weird as it seemed, she probably just brushed it off, but they can't leave any space for suspension.

Although he is the literal best at his job, in his company at least, he wouldn't expect what Sylvia would say next.

"We have sent someone out to assist you with the mission."
She started. Handing him a portfolio of the agent who they recruited to help him

"We believe that she will be a perfect fit. We've already reached out to her about it, and she is already on her flight here."

The person Ms. Sylvia Sherwood was talking about is Cherry. One of the more younger agents. Although they do not know her exact age, it's assumed that she is at least 16 years of age. That is rather young for her occupation, but at least it makes most missions easier, even though she can be a pain in the ass.

She's a literal child, and as good as she is, she is a brat—not exactly, but she is a menace to society.
OK, that's an overstatement; she's just very blunt, bold and kinda unserious.

It's like when a kid tells you, You're ugly, then you know you are ugly.

But she's a good kid. She just needs toffees to keep her mouth shut.

The next day Anya was impatiently standing at the front door to their apartment. Eagerly awaiting, as she phrases it, new sister's arrival.

She had be excited ever since Loid had spoke to Anya and Yor last night about his daughter from his ex wife coming to live with them

(not Anyas "dead" mother. Basic Loid "had" a wife before Yor and Anyas mom, and he has another daughter from that marriage)

Loid sighed heavily and Yor couldn't help but let out a small chuckle watching the child stare at the door. Every now and again saying that she's behind the door, and would rush to open it, only to be proved. wrong. And still did it at least twenty times.

"When do you think she'll eventually let it go?" Yor asked Loid, catching a quick glance at her husband cooking breakfast for the family of three.

"I doubt it'll be anytime soon" He said under his breath, though loud enough for the woman in front of him to hear. Then taking a quick peek at the time. 5.25 am, 35 minutes until school starts.

"Come on, Anya. She would be here anytime soon. It's a 13 hour flight that she'll take to get here alone, and then she it still has other things to do."
Loid stated. Yor nodding in agreement.

This made Anya somewhat annoyed, but she get didn't get to ponder about because they chased her off to her bedroom to get ready for school.

Anya was in the middle of bickering with Loid, complaining that they should stay for 5 more minutes, and that Ume will be here anytime soon.
But of course Loid being the man he is, insisted. Especially since they all had to get going or they'd all be late.

And just then there was a knock on the door. And of course Anya started again. Getting her hopes up to the clouds. But it was just Franky. Causing them to all sigh in in unison. Disappointedly.

{Later that day somewhere in Ostania,
Was Twilight meeting with Sylvia again. But with someone else as well}

THE AIRPORT—

"How much longer is this child going to take?" Twilight grumbled under his breath. Growing impatient with how long Cherry or Ume is taking to get here

"Anyways. Why would she choose some Japanese name?" Twilight asked. "Not that it's a bad name or anything as such. She does have east Asian features, but still."
He added, glancing at the strawberry-blonde woman in front of him.

Sylvia let out a low sigh in response. Already he can guess it is something stupid.

"Well, her reason is that the name belongs to a sexy demon lady in an anime she watched- her words, not mine." She answered pushing her glasses back, shaking her head slightly at how stupid it sounds

Twilight could only shake his head in response. He didn't get the chance before they heard a voice call out to them

Speak of the devil

Cherry, or Ume hurried over to them dragging her things along behind her like they should grow legs and run with her.

"Hii Ms Sherwood~." She dragging her words as she spoke with an overly excited tone. Then looked at Twilight with a blank and not that excited expression. "Oh. I forgot about you."
She bluntly stated. Well, yeah that'd sting if someone told you that, but she's said worse.

Twilight could help but roll his eyes.
It was foolish on her part, however it didn't bother him. "Good afternoon to you too." Twilight hummed

Sylvia sighed before speaking up again; "Anyways, you already know what you have to do. Cherry, just do as you're told and- Cherry!" Sylvia exclaimed, when the teen was nearly on the other side of the airport, buying snacks.

Sylvia planting her face in her hands. And Twilight groaned. Both trying to keep their cool with her.

But of course— that's a mission on its own.
