Serena receives an invitation to a special Trainer and Performer’s event held in Pallet Town, bringing together champions and performers from around the world. It’s her chance to see Ash again after a year of separation, and although she’s nervous, her heart flutters with excitement. She decides to arrive a day early, hoping to surprise him.

When she arrives in Pallet Town, Serena notices how quiet and peaceful it is compared to the bustling towns she’s grown used to. As she walks through the familiar paths, memories flood back – of the first time she saw him on that fateful summer camp, his carefree laughter, the warmth of his hand pulling her out of the forest when she was lost. Now, she’s returning not as the shy girl who looked up to Ash, but as someone who has achieved her dreams, just like he inspired her to do.

Serena approaches Ash’s house, her heart pounding. When the door opens, there stands Ash, a little taller, a little older, with that same infectious grin. The moment their eyes meet, the year they spent apart seems to melt away.

“Surprise!” She giggles, holding out a small basket filled with Lum Berries – a gift from Hoenn. “I couldn’t wait to see you.”
