Author's Note

Hello everyone! 

Welcome to my new book, My Dark One, by me of course. 

I just wanted to say a few things before I upload the chapters and give you a thrilling mafia romance story. 

Let's start off with the description. It would not let me upload the full one so It will be below if you want to read it. 

Next, let's talk about spelling and grammar. You are not opposed to corrections or help of any kind. As long as it's nice and nothing at all negative, help away. 

I am Canadian so some words might look a little different than usual but, bear with me, I have tried to make the corrections as best as I can. 

I have written two books before, Before You and She's The Artist. The second one is still up but ongoing and the first one is in the processes of being re-written. 

Feel free to read at your own pace. I will defiantly be writing at mine so please have patience for chapters. 

This my first book back in a while do to personal issues but it feels good to be back and to write a book out of my comfort zone. I'm all up for new experiences and new interest in book genres.

This book is for readers who want a dark mafia romance with action and forbidden love. This book is for mature audiences, so read at your own risk. It's for mature readers. 

It contains a lot of triggers and gruesome content so if you are not into that I would recommend not to read it. 

But, after all that, I hope you enjoy this book. I hope you can add it to your mafia collect if it's good enough and romance of course.

The Description: 

How can one become dark if they're already born within the darkness?

Adrienne Steally had the perfect life. A Mother, a Father, a Brother, and the white picket fence dream. But, all can be ripped away with one choice. That's what Adrienne father did, make the wrong choice.

Mr. Conti's son, Valentino (Val) Conti, was bound to take his father's place as Don. With his father's health deteriorating by the minute, Val doesn't know all of his father's work. Well, the shipments and his men at that. That's where Adrienne Steally steps in. As Valentino Conti's second in commend.

Both shocked by Mr. Conti's choice, they must learn to work together, as Don and as second. But there's more behind both of their lives than just that. Adrienne always felt a dark pull. That she was born with a darkened heart and nothing would change that. But Val on the other hand, never had it well either. He never wanted to be Don. But, being the only bloodline to his father, he had no choice but accept his fate. He never talks about how his father actually treated him, how he never liked his father, and how his mother died right in front of him.

They both have secrets. Dark, forbidden, gruesome secrets. Ones that don't belong in a love story. But somehow they do, fall in love. But sometimes,

Love isn't enough to stop the darkness from taking over. 

Will they be able to work together? Will they fight against their blacked hearts and see where this will lead? Will they fight the urge to share their ugly secrets whenever they are near?

Love can mean many things. Passion, desire, restlessness. But, love can also mean war, blood, and dark forbidden sins.

But some sins are just too dark to move past.
