Is this the Master Emerald I'm looking at?
As my violet eyes locked eye contact with her emerald eyes, I felt like I was trapped in a trance. But it was only for a split second, and Shadow dragged me to the back.
As we got to school, I saw Silver and Blaze. I smirked at them with amusement in my eyes. Silver marched up to me, kicked me in the gut, and walked away. Wow, such a bully. I remarked to myself.
"Yo, Knux. There's several new kids in school. Wanna see if one of them wants to help prank the principal?" asked Mephiles, one of my friends. Mephiles is a transgender, and they go by they/them.
"Totally." I agreed.
"Great! Let's go get Scourge." said Mephiles.
"I think I saw him talking with Fiona while walking into campus." I recalled.
"Alright, let's go find him." Mephiles replied.
After a while of 'eager' waiting, school started and I had to go through hours of boring schoolwork before the lunch bell rang. I sat next to Shadow and our friends, before spotting the new girls going towards the girls' table.
It was the emerald - eyed girl again! She was sitting down next to a magenta - haired girl who I'm guessing is her sister. Mephiles, who was sitting next to me, caught me looking at her.
"Hey, you planning to cheat on Shadow?" They whispered. "Don't blame you."
"No," I denied. "No, I don't. I just thought that girl was pretty, that's all."
Our new friend, Manic, was laughing. "Yeah, right. Go after her, man. My sis really likes the charming boys." Manic was giggling and laughing, and I didn't want to know why.
Instead, I went to see if I can sit next to her. Blaze was smirking at her and she signaled that I was approaching. They hung back, and the blue-haired girl seemed to curse at them before realizing I was coming close.
"Oh, uh, hi there..." the girl murmured shyly.
"Hi, who are you? I never seen you around here before." I greeted.
"I-I'm Son- Wow, you're getting close... uh, my name's Sonic..." she stammered.
Sonic. I've never heard that name before. Sure, I've heard of Sonic the restaurant, but I've never heard Sonic being used as a human's name.
"You're a pretty lady, Sonic," I commented.
"Uh...Th-Thank... You?" She replied quietly.
Our eyes locked as I cornered her into the wall. I could only see the emerald glow of her eyes, her presence warming me...
"Woah, Knuxie!" Shadow said suddenly and pulled me away from Sonic. "Don't let the new girl get uncomfortable."
She was smirking at Sonic as I dragged my legs towards our table. That was embarrassing. I love Shadow, not her.
