"Kylie! You're gonna be late!" Kylie jolts awake at the sound of her dad calling for her. "I'm up!" She quickly gets out of bed and throws on her jersey and some jeans. She grabs her bag and packs her shorts, throwing it over her shoulder before heading downstairs.
She throws on her shoes and grabs her keys off the hook. "Bye dad!" She shouts as she leaves. She gets in her car and starts it. She lets it warm up as she looks for a song to listen to. She backs up and heads to Ruby's house. She parks on the sidewalk once she gets there and honks. A few seconds later, Ruby and Mel emerge. She rolls her eyes at the sight of them. They both get in and buckle up. "Did you really spend the night again?" She looks at Mel through the rearview mirror. She simply shrugs. "Not my fault you don't got a girlfriend!" Kylie rolls her eyes. "Oh please, like i want to deal with heartache, mood swings and unexpected p-" "Ky!" Ruby shouts. Kylie breaks as the light turns red. "Jesus fucking Christ woman! You got big balls trying to run a red light!" Mel shouts as she pants. "Well, you would know." Kylie smirks as she catches her breath. "Shut the fuck up and drive!"
They reach the school and head to their lockers. Once they grabbed their textbooks, Mel nods to her right. "Hey, look who it is." She smirks. Kylie looks and groans. "Oh god, not that bitch." She mumbles. Malia Baker. Kylie's number one nemesis. It's not like she had a problem with her, it was more Malia had a problem. And it was all an accident. Freshman year, they had a soccer game where Kylie was sliding to save the ball when she accidentally slid into Malia and the rest of the cheer team. Including Ruby. While Kylie was worried about Ruby, everyone else was worried about Malia. It's not like she didn't like Malia, but Ruby's her best friend. It wasn't until Mel came up to her side that Kylie focussed her attention elsewhere. More specifically Malia, but by then, she already made up her mind about her.
Malia was standing across the hall, which was about 10 feet away, at her locker talking to Morgan and Tristan. She was in her cheer uniform, which made sense cause they have a game later today. Kylie glances at her bare legs before she quickly looks away. "You ok there, Ky?" Mel smirks as she drapes her arm over Ruby's shoulders. "Psh, yeah. I'm fine, why?" She glances down at Kylie's jeans. Kylie looks down and turns away. "Aren't you gonna be late for class?" They both laugh before they leave to their class. Kylie walks the opposite direction to her class. She takes her seat as students continue to pour in. "Alright class, take your seats, take your seats! So, today, we're going to be studying events that changed society. It could be a historical event, like the Boston Tea Party, or it could even be a bit more modern, like gay rights, feminist movement, whatever you guys want. I expect a written and oral report by the end of the semester. And i want you all to partner up!" Everyone groans. "Well, I thought I'd make it easier on you and let you guys choose a partner so you're not doing all the work by yourself but i guess I'll pick for you." Every one groans again. "Sharlize, you're wirh Jada. Matt, you're with Sofia. Joshua, you're with Olivia. Dara, you're with Morgan. And Kylie, you're with Malia. Now, you guys have...." Kylie snaps her head towards Malia, who's already staring at her. This is just great....
"So, i think we should make our project about the gay rights movement, and all the other historical gay events, like Don't Ask, Don't Tell, Stonewall Uprising, etc." Malia suggests. Kylie nods. "Ok, I'm down." Malia looks at her. "So, did you wanna start today? I could come over or...." Kylie shrugs. "Sure, we have a game after school today though." She reminds her. Malia nods. "Yes, i know. We can go to my place afterwards." Kylie nods. "Ok." "Stop doing that." "Doing what?" Kylie asks her. The bell rings as they stand and gather their things. "Just, stop agreeing with me all the time. You look and sound like a robot or something." Kylie looks at her confused as she gathers her things. "So you don't want me to agree with you? What? You want me argue?" Malia shrugs as she walks out. "I don't know, you seem to do a pretty good job at it." "Because you always start it." Kylie points out. "Whatever, just find me afterwards." Malia walks away with her friends to her next class.
Kylie sighs and heads to chemistry. "I do not get women...." She mumbles. "You know, they say the first sign of losing it is talking to yourself." Mel smirks as she sits behind her. "Shut up, you guys won't believe who i got partnered with during History. Malia." Ruby stares at her. "Malia? As in your crush, Malia?" "She is not a crush! Besides, she hates my guts." Ruby laughs. "Yeah, whatever, just keep it in your pants ok?" She teases. "Oh like Mel kept it in her pants last night?" Kylie raises her eyebrow at them. "Shut up, ok?! We were being safe!" Ruby tells her. "Mhmm....whatever it is, I don't want to know, ok?" Kylie turns her attention to the front. "You sure? Cause Rube does this amazing thing with her tongue- ow!" "Shut up!" Ruby blushes. "Eww...." Kylie shakes her head.
The day drags on until it was time for the game. Mel and Kylie change into their uniforms before heading out onto the field. They glance at the cheerleaders who were warming up. Mel winks at Ruby who blows her a kiss back. Kylie rolls her eyes at the whole thing. "Ugh, disgusting." She jokes. "Oh don't be jealous." Mel smirks. "Hey, i may be single, but at least my d-" "Girls! Let's go! Let's go!" The coach calls everyone into the huddle. "Alright, you guys practiced for this game for weeks, now let's go out there and show them who's boss!" "Yeah!" Everyone shouts. "Hands in!" They all put their hands in. "Jabberwockies on three. One, two, three, Jabberwockies!" "Jabberwockies!"
They end up winning 23-10 and everyone goes to shower and change. Kylie and Mel wait till everyone leaves before they actually shower. They walk back to the field and see Ruby and Malia chatting together. Mel sneaks up behind Ruby and kisses her on the cheek. "Hey! You ready to go?" She asks. "Hey baby! Yeah, let me grab my bag. Great game, Ky!" They walk over to the bench, leaving the two alone. "Thanks Rube!" Kylie smiles before turning towards Malia. "You ready?" She asks. Malia nods and follows her to the parking lot. Kylie drives them back Malia's house, with some directions since she's never actually been there. Malia unlocks the front door and walks in, greeting her mom and little sister. "Hey guys! This is Kylie, we're working on a project together so we'll be in my room!" She heads upstairs with Kylie following behind. She throws her bag down before sitting on her bed. "Alright, where did you wanna start?" She asks as she takes out her notebook. "Um, probably the Society for Human Rights." Malia nods and writes down some notes as Kylie does the same. "We could make it like a timeline, like Society would be the first act towards Equality and after that was Pink Triangles. The Nazi's used to mark their queer prisoners with pink triangles." Malia suggests. "Yeah, that sounds good." Kylie nods and writes down some more notes when Malia drops her pencil. "Ugh, son of a bitch." She bends over to pick up and shows off a bit of cleavage from her cheer uniform. Kylie feels a tightening in her pants before she suddenly stands up. "Um, you know what? I just remembered, i gotta get home! I forgot to uh....do the dishes!" She quickly stands, holding her notebook close to the crotch as she packs up her things. "What? But you just got here!" Malia stands. "I know, i know. I'm sorry, I'll make it up to you. Um, let's continue this tomorrow, ok?" She swings her back over her shoulder and heads out the door. "I'll see you in school!" She shouts as she goes down the stairs and out the door before Malia's mom could question her. She gets in her car and drives around the corner and parks, taking deep breaths. "Mother fucker. Why her?" She stares down in her lap at her very obvious boner. "This is all your fault."
