Third person pov:
Giyuu, always so calm and collected, was having a meltdown, or maybe a break down. (Both)
It's been four months, so he obviously had the right to react like that after trying to be calm for Senjuro. Kyoujuro, who has defeated Upper moon 3 (alongside Tanjiro) and had been unconscious ever since. There was a lot of damage on his intestine, and Shinobu was trying her best. But they didn't know if Kyoujuro would consider retiring or not. His left eye was damaged and they came to the conclusion that he was going to be blind in that eye.
The Water Hashira was hyperventilating, his petite, feminine yet muscular body was shaking as he looked down at his friend who had nearly died.
Head canon: Like in previous chapters, Giyuu doesn't like being vulnerable with people, no matter what. Whether sleeping or awake, close or not, he simply refuses to. So he covers his face with his hands if he ever is too close to someone.
Tears were pricking at his eyes as tried to calm down.
'Stop being a baby, you're stronger than this, you've watched many of your comrades die, your best friend and your sister, this isn't any different.'
He covered his face with his hands in defeat, letting out that one cry where you just can't hold it anymore, and that was his case. Giyuu's chest was tight and he simply couldn't hold it anymore, his sobs coming out strangled, yet somehow his voice was still quiet.
Nezuko, who was by the door, and who had just arrived a few days ago from the Entertainment District, got her heart broken. It was painful, not just because she viewed Giyuu as someone special in her heart, but because even if she were the cruelest of people she wouldn't want to see someone so calm and held-together break apart. i can both be an unexpected sight to see emotion on someone so lifeless's face and painful.
Head canon: I tend to analyze things a bit too much. So in all honesty I can't keep this to myself. I feel like Giyuu isn't intentionally making his voice quiet. He probably lost his voice when he was buried in the snow, and his vocal cords and throat were damaged.
That day was stuck on Nezuko's child like mind ever since. It kept replaying over and over for a full three weeks. She couldn't stand with it.
Just put it simply, imagine you were Nezuko. Your older brother, who risked his, no, committed his life to you and was one of the first people to accept you and take care of you, you obviously wouldn't let him be sad when he did more than your own mother could do for you? Right?
(What I mean is that Tanjiro's family was poor, so their mother couldn't do a lot for them, I know she was trying her best and obviously Nezuko would definitely care about her mom more than Giyuu even if this book isn't canon, but Giyuu and his master are basically the one's who raised them. And he canonanically bought her expensive stuff after the war.)
So when she overheard Shinobu talking to herself, she was obviously curious.
"It looks like Rengoku-san was affected badly by the demon's blood demon art..... It seems like it poisened his blood.... Ah, fuck, What am I supposed to do?" Shinobu muttered to herself, obviously worried, not for Kyoujuro, she couldn't care less about him, but for Giyuu. How would he react if Kyoujuro died? he would probably act more emotionless and shut everyone out.

Rengiyuu: The Eclipse
FanfictionBasically an Eclipse/ MoonFire/ WaterSun/ Moonlight/ Darksun story. If you read my other Sanegiyuu story's description it's the same as that but like, switch Sanemi and Kyoujuro. And it will at least have canon personalities (I think)
