"You're not scared are you? It's really dark and I know you don't like i---"
"I'm fine, Phil. I'm 24, I shouldn't be scared of the bloody dark,"
"I know, I was just wondering---"
"I'm fine," I continued staring up at the sky, determined to find that Orion's Belt that I hadn't been able to spot for the past 20 years.
His words replayed over in my mind: I'm fine I'm fine I'm fine
He was not going to fool me, not a chance; I knew that excuse too well.
