"I tried to warn her about the book. But it was too late, she already bought it." Mr. Linden said again. He was getting tired of the police questioning him about the disappearance. He couldn't believe just last week she was right with him.

"Are you sure you want to write that book Soph? People say it was the cause of the disappearance of the entire Rose-Bush Family." Mr. Linden said, raising his brow at the girl as he handed her the hardcover book.
"I'm sure Mr. Linden, plus the rumor was probably made up by kids who don't like reading." She said as her lips curled into a smile taking the book out of his hands. "I'll see you tomorrow Mr Linden."
"I hope so Sophia, I hope so..."

Sophia walked up the driveway of her house with almost a skip: she couldn't wait to read her book. "Warning Swarming." She thought out loud opening the front door. She set the book down on the small table next to her reclining chair. Sophia made herself a cup of english breakfast, since she banned coffee from her household, before sitting down and cracking open her book.
"Dear Daybreak,
This will be my last book I write for you . I have finally found a way to bring my family into my world of words. Where they will never be harmed by the pains of this reality"
-Alexander Rose-Bush
"That's not a weird opening to a book but whatever." She said out loud to no one... or so she thought.

Sophia yawns and puts down the book. How long has she been reading? She didn't know but she knew this was a good book better than the reality she knew. She stands up out of her recliner and walks to her room but out of the corner of her eye thorns sneaked out of the book.

Roses, roses that's all she saw. Running for hours and hours though this maze of roses. The smell of iron everywhere, not the smell of flowers, just iron... then suddenly thorns wrapped around her heel the pain was unbearable as the thorns drew her blood. Just then a blue light appeared in front of her, the light burned the rose thorns away.
"Shh" The light said softly floating in front of Sophia. "You must be quiet or he'll find you again."
"What the heck..." Sophia said, confused, how was the light talking? "Am I dead?"
"Not yet and you won't be if you listen to me carefully." The light said taking the form of a small girl probably around 9. She was covered in thorns, some piercing her neck making her breathing a bit struggled, not like she needed to breathe she was dead. More thorns were digging into her face and blooming into small roses covering her left eye.
"I'm Lily, Lily Rose-Bush and you must listen, your life is at stake."
"Long ago back in the 1950's my father Alexander was a famous author bringing joy and wonder into Daybreak with his stories."
"You mean the author of my new book?"
"Yes, now don't interrupt me."
"I was in 4th grade at the time my father was writing the book you're reading. I called dibs on his first copy since I was the bookworm of the family ,like him I didn't have many friends and kept to my books. Which I got bullied for because of the bullying my dad promised to write a book with the main character based off of me. He said "If you read the book you will be transported to the world of your dreams." l thought he meant that the book was going to be written well. What I didn't know was that he was litteral."
