"Aap?"

I was shocked to see the Head minister standing at the entrance of the gate. Then a sudden realization hit me hard. What if he'll see that old man inside the prison. Hurriedly out of panick i turned around to see whether he saw him but to my surprise he was gone. The old man vanished.

"Where did he vanished out of blue?" ~  I thought to myself unknown with the fact about why he always vanishes before someone approaches me. But breaking my thoughts I turned around again to see the minister standing at the entrance. He had something in his hands, probably a plate or something like that.

I knew it must be an another torture order from the prince so I tried to calm my running and fast beating heart down and was waiting for him to announce it. But to my suprise he didn't say anything and started approaching me. I tried standing up from the ground in fear but before that he calmly said

"Arre khade hone ki jarurat nhi hai aapko Aarohi. Baith jaaiye".

(You don't have the need to stand up Aarohi. Sit down)

I was shocked enough but didn't said anything thinking this must be a trap by the prince.
As he approached me, I shifted a little in fear, my hands went to the ground to give me support while shifting but suddenly the pain overcame everything. I hissed in pain and that's when I heard him saying:

"Dariye nhi humse, hum yahan Rana sa ke kehne pe nhi aaya hain. Aapko humse darne ki jarurat nhi hai Aarohi." ~  he said sitting on the ground a little away from me placing the thing in his hands softly on the ground. He looked at me and slightly extended his hands in front of me.

(Don't get scared of me, I haven't came here on the orders of Rana sa. You don't need to fear me Aarohi.)

As I looked in his eyes slowly, I saw a deep contrast. His eyes looked soft, filled with warm emotions, a complete different from the emotions the prince had in his eyes.
He saw that I was scared enough to say anything so he pulled away his hands and slowly uncovered the cloth piece that was covering the thing he brought with him.

I was shocked and surprised to see some food and a little fruits kept in a plate. My eyes were glued to the plate. It's been 3 days since I ate anything, God knows how I have been bearing all the pain, all the sufferings. I didn't notice that the minister knew my thoughts and emotions and can recognize it until he cleared his throat and calmly said.....

"Humein pta hai hamare baat ka vishwas krna aapke liye thoda azeeb hoga par hum yahan kisi ke hukm se nhi balki apne mann se aaye hain. Aur ye sab aapke liye hi laaye hain." ~ he said shifting the plate a little towards my side.

(I know you won't believe my words but I haven't came here on anyone's orders but on myself. And all of these are for you only.)

My stomach was ready to actually attack on the food but my brain wasn't ready. I can't believe him with just his words and exactly why should I? Why does he care? He is no one, neither does he know me nor do I know him, so why such care? I won't just slip or do anything stupid just from his talks. I didn't touch anything from the plate. What if it has poison? What if he has some guards already ordered to keep an eye on me. What if it's the prince's order? I can't and I won't trust him.
