The silence of the night was almost palpable, and the moonlight crept into Aria's room, illuminating its corners and casting long, unsettling shadows. The only sound was the gentle patter of rain against the roof, as if the universe itself wanted to warn her about what was about to happen. Lying on her bed, Aria stared into the darkness, feeling that this night held something extraordinary—stifling air seemed to pulse with uncertainty.
Suddenly, the quiet was broken by a faint creak of the door. Scott entered her room, and there was a strange gleam in his eyes, as if he were bringing news from another world.
— Aria… — he began, his voice barely audible, as if fearing that their conversation would attract unwanted attention.
— What happened? — she asked, feeling a shiver run down her spine.
— Did you hear? — he replied, danger lacing his tone. — They found a body. Partially, at least.
Aria sat up suddenly, her heart racing.
— A body? How is that possible? — she asked, her mind swirling in panic.
— This is Beacon Hills, Aria. Nothing here is normal — Scott replied, trying to force a smile that didn't quite fit the situation. — Actually, I came to ask you something.
— What? — Aria raised an eyebrow, sensing that something was serious.
— Stiles suggested we go to the place where the body was found. To see what’s left… maybe even have an adventure.
Aria looked at him as if he were insane, unable to believe that he was considering such a dangerous option.
— That's madness! What if something is really there? What if the police catch us?
Scott sighed, attempting to soothe her fears.
— It’s just a few minutes. We’ll check it out, and if it gets dangerous, we’ll just come back. I promise nothing will happen to us.
Aria hesitated. Her mind was torn between the desire for adventure and reason. Yet curiosity was slowly taking over.
— Fine — she finally agreed, feeling adrenaline start to course through her veins. — But if anything goes wrong, I’m blaming you and Stiles.
Scott grinned widely, as if he already knew she couldn't refuse.
— See you in five minutes downstairs!
When Scott disappeared through the door, Aria took a deep breath, sensing that this night held something that could forever change their lives. Standing in the moonlight, she wondered whether what they were about to do would be the beginning of something exciting or would open the door to unknown dangers. One thing was certain—nothing would ever be the same again.
