Seungmin was deeply focused, perfecting his song in the studio. His voice, clear and filled with raw emotion, rang out:
"So if I can't get close to you
I'll settle for the ghost of you
But I miss you more than life
And if you can't be next to me
Your memory is ecstasy
I miss you more than life
I miss you more than life"“Wow, that’s incredible…”
Seungmin jumped at the unexpected voice, realizing Chan was in the studio with him.
“Hyung, when did you get here?” Seungmin asked, his surprise evident.
“I was heading to bed but noticed the studio lights were on, so I came in about twenty minutes ago,” Chan replied, glancing at his phone.
“Twenty minutes? I didn’t even notice you” Seungmin muttered, surprised at how quickly it had passed.
“Yeah, you were really absorbed in the song. I didn’t want to interrupt, but we should head to bed—it’s already 2:00 AM.”
Seungmin checked the clock, blinking in disbelief. “I’ve been at this for four hours? That’s crazy.”
He began packing up, leaving the headphones behind.
“Hey, don’t be hard on yourself. You did a great job,” Chan reassured him.
The rare compliment caught Seungmin off guard. Normally, they critiqued each other to improve, rather than offering praise.
“What, feeling shy?”
Chan teased, moving a little closer.“Are you out of your mind?”
Seungmin retorted, busying himself with his things to avoid meeting Chan’s eyes.Chan chuckled. “You’re just so adorable when you’re shy.”
Before Seungmin could respond, Chan pulled him into a hug. It wasn’t the first time they embraced, but this one felt different—more intimate, especially in the quiet of the empty studio.
“Let’s go, Chan hyung. It’s late,” Seungmin said, trying to gently pull away.
“Just give me a moment to hold you,” Chan said, his tone playful yet unyielding.
Seungmin reluctantly let Chan hold him, and as they walked to the door, he stopped briefly. Chan, not expecting it, accidentally bumped into him, his lips grazing Seungmin’s neck.
Seungmin froze, his face heating up as he quickly pulled away, his hand instinctively covering his neck.
“Hyung!”
Ignoring the flustered look on Seungmin’s face, Chan leaned in and, on impulse, kissed Seungmin’s soft, pink lips. The moment was brief and tender, yet it left Seungmin stunned. A noise from the hallway brought him back, and he hastily retreated to his room.

.The next day, Seungmin was away recording an OST for an upcoming movie, fully focused and managing to put last night’s events out of his mind. Chan, however, spent the entire day in the studio, replaying the memory over and over. He couldn’t believe he’d acted on the impulsive thoughts he’d had for months.
That evening, Chan cooked Seungmin’s favorite dish and set it out for him, surprising him with the unexpected gesture. They sat at the table, Seungmin eagerly digging into his food while Chan struggled to keep his composure.
“Seungmin,”
Chan started, finally finding the courage.“Yes, hyung?”
“I’m sorry…about last night.”
