As spring approached, Emory received an exciting opportunity to showcase her interior design work at a local gallery in Phoenix. It was a big break for her, and the pressure was on. She spent weeks perfecting her designs, pouring her heart into every detail.
On the night of the showcase, she stood in front of her exhibit, nerves fluttering in her stomach. The room buzzed with energy as guests admired her work. Just then, she spotted Marvin entering the gallery, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on her.
"Emory! You look stunning!" he exclaimed, making his way through the crowd.
She beamed at him, the tension easing. "Thanks! I'm so glad you're here. What do you think?"
Marvin walked closer, examining her designs with genuine admiration. "These are amazing! You've captured such a warm, inviting feel. I knew you were talented, but this is next level!"
Emory felt her heart swell with pride as he continued to praise her work. "Having you here means everything to me," she said, her voice softening.
Later in the evening, as they stood outside under the stars, Marvin took her hand, his expression earnest. "You're going to change the world with your designs. I'm just lucky to be part of your journey."
Emory smiled, feeling grateful for the support he always provided. "And you're my inspiration. You remind me to dream big."
