The family woke up at 7 A.M like they always do. James helped the kids get ready, while Mina went to make breakfast for the kids. Today was a special day for Seri and Daniel. Seri's first day in second grade, and Daniel had a football match. Mina was supposed to go to the match but had huge meetings with Danish and Belgian diplomats in Japan, and James couldn't go because he had to be with Seri today. So instead James asked his parents Dong-Hyun and Eun Ae and Mina's parents Akihito and Mai to watch him play today. Daniel wasn't too sad about it since he loved his grandparents and his dad and Seri would go watch him at the end of the day.
By 7:20, James got the kids ready, and he just had to go change and get his stuff like Airpods and his iPhone. The kids ran downstairs through the halls of the palace they called home to the kitchen where their mum made some pancakes, a rare occasion. They chowed down their pancakes and ran into their car. Mina took Daniel and James took Seri.
" Good luck Danny! Love you! " Said Seri while she hugged him.
Seri and James arrived 20 minutes before school had started.
"무서워?" James asked his daughter. Seri nodded. They went inside the homeroom, and everyone saw her and were staring at her. She was scared.
"Hi! I am Rachel Winden, are you a new student?" a second grader asked
"Um, no, I am just transferring grades from kindergarten to 2nd grade," Seri replied.
"Wow, so you must be really smart. Why don't you come sit with us?" asked Rachel.
Seri followed her and met her friends. James felt happy knowing that she had someone to talk to. While Seri was going on with her lessons, he searched up numerous scholarships that schools offered, thinking maybe Seri could take them and attend those academies. James found ones such as the Danish Royal Academy, The Swedish International School, the Hawthrone Academy in the UK, the Takashiwa Academy in Japan and Taiwan, and finally Daegu School.
"Hey Seri, how was your lunch? Was the food good?" James asked. Seri nodded and she asked; "Are we going to Daniel's football match now?" James nodded his head and took her to the car.
They reached the arena, and Seri ran straight into the arms of her beloved Grandpa Do-yoon.
He asked in Korean; "How was your 1st day as a second grader?"
Seri replied in English; "AMAZING! I LOVED SECOND GRADE!"
Grandma Eun Ae said; "Ah did you Seri-ya?"
Seri continued to chat with her grandparents while James took Mina aside and told her what he was thinking about for the whole day.
"So, hear me out, I was searching for scholarships for Seri which some schools of the best schools in the world offer."
"James, we can't expect a 5-year-old to get a scholarship to some of the schools in the best world," replied Mina.
"Mina you can't call our daughter a normal 5-year-old. She is a crown princess and a prodigy. And there is no reason we shouldn't do it and if we do, do it, there can be a chance she does get in." James replied.
Sana agreed after a few minutes of nagging from James. They went back on the field right in time to see Daniel score the winning goal.
The entire family was so proud so they decided to go out for dinner, as this was also the rare few occasions where the entire family met. They went to this amazing Japanese restaurant, Yakiniku in Azabu-Jaban. Each meal on average costs $360, but since this is the royal family, what is cost to them?
On their way back home, James told Seri about the scholarship opportunities, and she was super interested in them.
"Okay so you will do it? You want to do it, Seri?" James asked as Seri nodded.
"Oh well than great, I will get you to do a few tests before we go for holiday and we will see."
