Upon pushing open the main door of the house, its hinges creaked and the sound reverberated through the hallway, signaling her arrival. The air was filled with a pleasing aroma of blooming flowers, specifically jasmine and white roses, emanating from the small garden inside. Sunlight gently streamed in through the skylight above, casting a warm and inviting glow.
Ruhi looked stunning as she entered the living room, adorned in a figure-hugging black shalwar kameez. Her curves were accentuated by the outfit, and her gray eyes sparkled like brilliant diamonds framed by thick lashes. Her long black hair cascaded down her back and waist, with a few loose strands framing her heart-shaped face.
She made her way to her favorite spot in the room - a cozy corner with a view of the garden - dropping her bag beside the plush couch before settling in. With the remote control in hand, she became fully engrossed in the TV drama playing on screen.
Her older brother Zaid, three years older than her , chuckled as he stood in the doorway. "When did you get home, Witch?" he teased, glancing at the TV with amusement. "Still hooked on that show?"
Ignoring his teasing remarks, Rohi's attention remained fixed on the screen as she became invested in the characters' emotions and storylines.
"I don't want to argue with you; please move away from the TV," Rohi said firmly but with a hint of irritation in her tone as she glared at him.
Zaid grinned mischievously, his teeth gleaming in the dim light, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "What's wrong, witch? You're in a bad mood? I can't believe people get in a bad mood just by seeing your face, and you're in a bad mood today." He chuckled, his voice low and teasing.
Rohi's irritation simmered, her hands clenched into fists. "Don't spoil my mood; get out," she said, anger and desperation lacing her voice.
Zaid approached, his eyes sparkling with playful sarcasm. "You have a brain too, I discovered today." His words dripped with mockery.
Rohi's anger flared, her face flushing red. "Get out of here, or else!" Her voice rose.
Zaid sneered, laughing, his eyes gleaming. "Or else what? What will you do, I am your elder brother, you should speak to me with respect" He taunted, his voice dripping with condescension.
Rohi raised an eyebrow, her eyes flashing. "Respect is given to the one who is respected" she retorted, her voice steady. "And remember, I'm also your sister." She stood up, her movements swift.
With a sudden surge of adrenaline, she pushed him towards his room. "Get out!"
Zaid staggered back, laughing, his eyes never leaving Rohi's face. "Hey, witch, what are you doing?" He chuckled.
Sara giggled, her bright brown eyes sparkling like diamonds. "Wow, what a scene!" She stood by the door, watching with amusement as the drama unfolded; her lean figure relaxed against the frame.
As Rohi's older cousin and close neighbor, she would often show up unannounced, always ready to share a good laugh.
Zaid straightened up, surprised to see Sara's arrival. "Oh, you came too?" He asked with a mischievous grin and a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
Sara confidently walked into the room, her long brown hair swaying as she moved with an unseen rhythm. "Yes, I'm here. Do you have a problem with that?" She playfully retorted with a touch of sarcasm and a sly smile.
Zaid shook his head in amusement. "Everyone else seems to have a problem with you two." He rolled his eyes and ruffled his dark hair.
Rohi jumped in, relieved and her gray eyes shining with relief. "That's not the issue; they're just jealous of me." She tossed her black hair and flashed a mischievous smile.
