A/N: This is a random idea that I got while I rewatched Ninjago. Ever notice in season eleven that Pixal had a glowing energy when she held the staff of forbidden spinjitzu? Why is that? When Kai held the staff earlier in that season he didn't get a power boost from the staff. So I'm going to assume that that means that you have to have an elemental power to get a power boost from it. So believing this, it's safe to assume that Pixal has an elemental power. That's when this story comes in. Hope you enjoy it.

This is not canon compliant with Dragons Rising, because I started writing this before it came out.

Chapter 1

Pixal threw herself to the edge of the building, thrusting her hand out to try and grab Lloyd before he fell. But she was one second too late.

"No!" Everyone on the roof cried, as the green ninja started to fall off the side of Borg tower.

They were too high, Lloyd wouldn't survive the fall. Pixal couldn't breathe, suddenly Lloyd seemed to slow; something was happening Lloyd was not falling quiet as fast. She didn't know what was happening but she didn't want it to stop.

"What's going on?" Jay demanded.

And Pixal's concentration broke. Lloyd started to fall again; Pixal grabbed the side of the roof with all of her strength, and focused hard. Lloyd stopped falling completely. She bit her lip; and stretched out her hand farther, focusing with all her might. Lloyd started to float slowly upward in response. There was a tense silence as Lloyd rose to the top of the roof and gently landed on the roof at Kai's feet.

"Lloyd, are you alright?" Wu asked.

Lloyd stood shakily, "I'm fine."

"Would someone please tell me what just happened." Kai said.

"I'm not sure myself." Lloyd said, and then stumbled. Everyone on the roof rushed forward and too focused on Lloyd to pay attention to Pixal who had drawn away from the edge of the roof top and studied her hands. She was slightly pale and her eyes were turbulent.

Line break

Pixal hadn't been aware of it not until then not until it had obeyed her. In all honesty, it scared her.

She sighed; no one had said anything about it. She was sure they hadn't even noticed in their concern for Lloyd. That was fine with her; she was much too confused about the whole thing to even think about what might happen next. She wasn't even sure why or even how she'd done it. She stared at her hands, what she didn't understand was the fact that he'd chosen her. She was a nindroid; she hadn't even had a body when he'd been around, just a conscious. Another thing that bothered her was the timing; it was the day of the departed again. Though this time there wasn't an eclipse, there was something different about today though she couldn't tell what.

"Pixal?" Zane asked.

Pixal looked up startled.

"Are you alright?" He asked coming in.

"Yes, just thinking."

Zane studied her, but didn't say anything. "Are you sure you don't want to come with me?"

Pixal nodded, "I'm sure."

"If you change your mind you can always come and join me."

Pixal smiled, "Of course." She stood, "We should go and wish the others a happy day of the departed."

Line break

Once everyone had gone to where they were meeting their families. She headed down to work workshop for the rest of the night. She didn't have any family to celebrate with anyway, might as well make the most of the leftover time.

She went to work repairing the ninja's vehicles, buffing out dents and patching up anything else that was in need of repair. She had the strangest feeling, as if she wasn't alone.

A stay gust of wind ruffled some of the blueprints on the table.

"Your time is coming." A familiar voice whispered.

Pixal's head shot up. "Who's there?" she demanded.

"A friend." The voice replied.

"Show yourself." Pixal said, clutching the wrench in her hand.

"Time is against you, old enemies are stirring." A strong gust of cold wind blew the blueprints off the table, they fluttered to the floor. The presence left, Pixal's heart pounded; she recognized the voice now that he'd left, Morro. It sounded like he was warning her but why?

Her head spun with questions that would be unanswered. She picked up the papers and set them back on the table. She went back to her work, though she was not fully focused. She was thinking hard on the warning Morro had given her, and what it could mean.
