Silence.

Thats all there was, for a time. The image of Luis' crushed corpse being left in the dust still haunted her. Rowan could not speak- could not move- with the shock that still filled her body. He was dead, and the Decepticons just laughed about it. They killed him, and she could soon be next. Her hand shakes as she slowly grabs the door handle.

Still locked; not that she'd leap from a vehicle going- she looks across the dash- 117 miles per hour. Even if she got out of the seatbelt and onto the road alive, there was no escaping these two decepticons in the middle of nowhere. By now it was all desert as far as the eye could see. Minutes, hours, she couldn't even tell how long they'd been driving down this highway. Ever since Luis had been... removed, she had lost track of most things happening around her. She hadn't even heard the rest of the Decepticons' conversation.

When her senses begin to slowly return, she remembers the purse strapped over her shoulder. Somehow it hadn't been lost in the commotion. As she thinks to reach for her phone inside, she realises all the ways that could go wrong too. With one hand staying in her purse, she carefully unlocks the phone with her thumb. She could see in the top right corner; no signal. Calls wouldn't go through and texts were unlikely. She sent a few messages to people, copy and pasting the same message a few times telling them to call the police and that she'd been kidnapped. Was kidnapped the right word for it, or would abducted? These are aliens after all... She made sure her location settings were turned on, and the best she could do from there was wait and hope for enough signal for anyone to track her down. Surely the government would try to track someone abducted by the giant alien machines? Its not like she was grabbed in secret... though maybe they'd assume the worst and give up on her if they found Luis...

It took a lot of courage to finally allow her voice to eventually return. She was running out of options and needed answers to her predicament, even if they were ones she didn't want to hear. "...Where are we going." It came out more like demand than a question, which was wholly unintended.

"Ah, so it speaks," Knockout responds in a frustratingly happy tone. "I was beginning to wonder if you'd somehow expired along the way. It would have been unusual... and most annoying to clean out my upholstery if you had."

"Just tell me where you're taking me..."

"Not you, little one; The arifact you so kindly delivered to us. You know, I thought we were going to have to rip apart a whole human base to find it, all the while being shot at and attacked by autobots and your pathetic little human military. Imagine our surprise when the artifact's signal was tracked to an open street corner. Almost like fate, wouldn't you say?"

Rowan could tell this bot liked to talk. She didn't offer him another response. To be honest, she wasn't sure what to say to that. If his words were true, then her and Luis' attempts to help by escaping with the artifact caused more harm than good... and got them in this situation.

"...Well, anyway. You've just about served your purpose, human. Soon your fate will be decided. Until then, allow me to make your time in my care truly... un-comfortable." The dashboard folds open, and then the metal plating below continues to open further, things shifting and moving until it was all machinery in front of Rowan. "I doubt our leader would want you to see the path to our base."

A rod emerges from the dash and pushes out two prongs, electricity surging between them like a cattle prod. Rowan understandably panics and tries to undo the seat belt. It sticks, so she starts to squirm and push up off the floor in an attempt to slip out. That didn't work nearly fast enough. The moment she saw she cattle prod lunge towards her, she felt blinding pain. The last thing she remembered was her body seizing and the artifact rolling down to her feet.
