Finally, it was Saturday morning—Hogsmeade day. Kimberly, along with Hermione and Ron, waited for Harry, who was anxiously eyeing his wrinkled permission slip.

"Now, remember!" Professor McGonagall's voice echoed across the courtyard, commanding attention. "Visiting Hogsmeade is a privilege. If your behavior reflects poorly on the school, you'll lose that privilege."

Harry fidgeted nervously, glancing down at the slip. He approached McGonagall, but before he could speak, Kimberly piped up with a smirk, "Look at it this way, Harry. If you can't go, you'll have plenty of time to brood over your deep, dark secrets. Maybe start a journal—'Dear Diary, today I was left behind.'"

"Very funny, Kimberly," Harry replied, trying to smile, though his eyes betrayed his worry. "Professor McGonagall," Harry called.

"Without a signed form, you can't visit the village. That's the rule, Potter," McGonagall said, her tone firm.

"Yes, Professor, but if you could just say—" Harry started, desperation creeping into his voice.

"But I can't. A parent or guardian must sign, and since I'm neither, it would be inappropriate." Her reply was sharp.

"Please, Professor," Harry begged, a hint of panic rising in his tone.

For a moment, McGonagall's expression softened, but she quickly regained her composure. "I'm sorry, Potter. That's my final word." With that, she turned sharply, leaving Harry standing there, shoulders slumped in defeat.

As reality sank in, Harry shook his head slowly at Kimberly, Ron, and Hermione, feeling the weight of disappointment. "You guys should go ahead. Have fun without me."

"Harry, no! We're not leaving you behind," Hermione protested, her brow furrowing.

"Yeah," Ron chimed in, glancing back at Harry. "It's not right to leave you here while we're off to Hogsmeade."

Kimberly crossed her arms and leaned against the wall with a teasing grin. "And miss all the pumpkin cupcakes? Not a chance! Plus, it'd be boring without your moping face around."

Harry forced a smile, but disappointment gnawed at him. "I appreciate it, but there's no point in you all missing out because of me. You'll have a great time, and I'll just... find something to do."

"Like what?" Kimberly raised an eyebrow. "Stare at the wall? I hear it's thrilling."

"Seriously, mate, it's not fair," Ron said, his voice rising a notch. "We can figure something out. Maybe if we—"
