Today marked that they were a quarter of the way through their adventure. One week down with three more to go. Sofia was beyond excited as their next destination was Italy. She had it all planned out in her head — first they would visit the leaning tower of Pisa, then they would go to Rome and see the coliseum, then perhaps Pompeii if they had time. But of course, the place she absolutely most wanted to visit was Naples: the place her parents had met.

The old truck glided down the road, swiftly overtaking the slow moving vehicles ahead. "So, is that why would need to be in the Netherlands at the end of this trip? You've got a race?" Sofia asked.

Oscar spared her a brief glance. He nodded. "Yeah."

"What is it like being an F1 driver?" She asked. Oscar looked towards her, watching as her eyes glistened with intrigue.

"Cool. Very cool. I love it — the racing side that is. I don't mind the media side but sometimes they're just too intrusive." Oscar explained as his fingers tapped against the steering wheel. He had seen the article. After wondering why he was getting an abundance of attention about Lily on his latest instagram post, Lando had messaged him with the article attached. "I have to warn you. Now they've started they won't stop until they figure out who you are."

"I'll look forward to it." She sarcastically replied. The blonde tucked her legs into her chest as she leant her body against the door of the truck. "Pastry?" She asked.

The use of the nickname that she had picked up over their time in Austria warmed his heart. "Yeah?" He replied.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Sofia softly quizzed. Her tone was thankfully gentle and soft, Oscar had assumed she would be pissed that he'd dragged her into his life without warning her of the consequences.

"I didn't want to seem like I was bragging about my life, when you said you could barely afford to get to work in the morning." Her eyes beamed like diamonds, as she looked at him in a newfound admiration. She had respected him beforehand but that fact that he had kept his passion and career hidden, because he wanted to remain humble and didn't want her to feel bad about her lifestyle in comparison to his, left Sofia to respecting him a lot more than before.

"What it like? Surely you race against some of the people you watched racing growing up. What's was that like?"

"Erm strange in all honesty. So, for example, Fernando Alonso, you ever head of him?" Oscar asked. When Sofia shook her head he continued to explain. "So, Alonso started driving before I was even born, and he's still racing now. So, yeah, that was a weird one to experience. But I'd say the most surreal one was getting to race alongside Lewis. Growing up you're always told that Schumacher and Lewis were the two biggest drivers in Formula One history — which isn't wrong. But obviously racing against Schumacher isn't possible now and I knew that going into the likes of Formula Three et cætera, but racing against Lewis is still surreal to me; even now." Oscar admitted.

"It must be really cool to meet your childhood idols."

"Yeah, it is. But what about you? Who were your childhood idols?" He asked.

Sofia shrugged. "I don't know, I didn't really have any."

Oscar looked at her in shock. "You didn't have any idols growing up?" He repeated in surprise.
