Chapter 1-Bedtime is Over

"Hey!You alive?Wake up!"
I can feel someone shaking me...
"I know you're awake so wake up!"
The voice is getting louder,I can't help but start to slowly open my eyes.The second I do though I'm blasted in the face with light,it makes my eyes close in response probably to adjust.I hear the person with me chuckle a bit
"Ah there you go!Knew you weren't dead!Come on open those eyes up,bedtime is over"
I slowly open my eyes once again,it hurts my eyes for a second but after a moment it stops.My eyes finally adjust to the light and I could open them fully.I open them fully to see the person with me,it's a girl looks about my age,she has brown hair that looks curly towards the end.She has brown eyes and tannish skin.She looks at me with a smile
"It's about time you woke up,I found you a few hours back over here just casually laying down in the middle of a forest.You practically looked dead at first glace"
I sit up looking around noticing that we are in fact in a forest,this forest looked different though the leaves were all different colors,some blue,some red,but not many green ones.The girls laughs clearly noticing the presumably shocked face I have and enjoying it
"guessing you're one of those people used to just green leaves on trees huh?"
I look around with my mouth open in shock probably looking like a complete idiot
"Yeah,you could um...say that.Where...am I?"
She looks at me smiling sweetly standing up offering me her hand
"you'll learn it all in good time don't worry.For now let's worry about getting you put of here,I don't think you're quite ready to handle this place just yet"
I look at confused,what does she mean I'm not ready?And what the heck did she mean earlier by "one of those people"?I put my hand out slowly to grab her's getting pulled up to my feet.I look at her now being able to see her more clearly now,she's quite cute to be honest.If it wasn't for the fact that I was in a completely strange place that probably is very dangerous I might of tried to chat her up a bit.She looks at me still smiling and puts her hand out to me
"don't think we've introduced ourselves yet.I'm Renee,nice to meet you....stranger in the woods"
I laugh putting my hand out to hers and shaking it
"As much as I like that title,I'd prefer to be called by my name,I'm Andrew"
"Aww I liked that name,but I guess I'll call you Andrew just for you"
"So uh....you mentioned something about leaving this?"
She nods and turns around pointing towards a clearing in the trees
"Yup,over there would be where we're going.Outta start going now,it's a bit of a walk to the closest town here.Town's called Rowmore"
"Rowmore?Why does that name sound so...familiar?"
"Familiar huh?hmm...that's....weird wonder why that is"
She says with that same unchanged smile she's had the whole time but for a split second I notice something in her eyes as if she knew something.I can't help but try to get it out of her.
"So you have no idea why I recognize the name Rowmore then?"
I notice that look in her eye once again for a split second.
"Nope!Hey,I know what you're doing!Trying to prod information from me but guess what?I don't know anything alright?So how about we start walking before night comes,you don't wanna be here when that comes"
"Why not?What happens at night?"
She looks at me hesitantly as if she's about to reveal something but quickly stops,she turns around and starts walking towards the clearing.
"Just follow me damn it,like I said earlier you'll understand all in good time"
I give an exasperated sigh as I start walking towards the clearing to her,I know there's no point in trying to get information out of her right now.
"Alright then,but there better be a badass explanation for this all"
I can hear her giggle as she walks in front of me
"If there's one thing I can guarantee about it Andrew,is that it is indeed badass"
