Aurora (POV):
So Storm showing up was definitely not part of the plan. Although from the confusion on both women's faces it was clear that it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Honestly now that I thought about it, Storm being there would probably help Gabriela a lot. When I confirmed my suspicions about Gabriela and Storm I had been torn about getting Gabby to come. I knew first hand what it was like to be separated from your mate and it was not something I'd put on anyone. Especially when both parties were aware that they were each other's mates. Although I had unintentionally put that on Gabby. After talking to her about Storm I had expected her to say no and if she had said no I wouldn't have blamed her at all.
"Mum's office is the door at the end of the hall. I'll let Aurora show you the rest of the way. Gabriela, Storm it was nice to meet you." Jayden's fingertips brushed against my forearm as she headed back down the hall.
"Are you two ready?" I asked, both women nodded as we approached Vivian's office.
Before I could reach out to knock, the door slowly opened. 'Well that wasn't creepy at all' I thought to myself. When no one appeared in the doorway I poked my head inside the office. Vivian was sitting at her desk with a mountain of paperwork surrounding her. She had her reading glasses perched at the end of her nose, her brows scrunched up as she continued to read.
"I'll be with you in just one moment" Vivian said as she finished reading and signing the documents.
"You must be Gabriela." Vivian said with a smile as she made her way from behind her desk.
"Yes, Thank you for welcoming me into your home." Gabriela replied as she extended her hand to Vivian.
"And who is this gorgeous young lady?" She peered at Storm who stood slightly behind Aurora.
"This is Storm, she's my mate. Somehow she got transported here with me." Gabriela explained, I hoped Vivian would just let Storm stay at this point. Although both Gabriela and I were going to get an ear full from her parents later on.
"You two didn't happen to be in the same room while you teleported, were you?" She asked with an expression I couldn't quite read.
"We were, she was standing only a couple feet away from me." Gabriela replied.
"Ah she must have just gotten pulled in by the force of your magic. You are very lucky you didn't get seriously injured." Vivian said softly to Storm.
"Fuck, I didn't even think about that." Gabriela sighed, I knew she was going to beat herself up over this.
"Vivian, I was wondering if Storm could just stay for the week. I'm sure it would make Gabriela feel a bit better having her mate here with her." I prayed she would just say yes.
"Of course, had I known she was mated I would have suggested it myself." Vivian replied with a soft smile.
'Well fuck I didn't think it'd be this easy'
"Really? Are you sure you are okay with this?" I asked with slight disbelief.
"I wouldn't dare dream of separating someone from their mate. After meeting my mate Sophie I'd kill anyone if they tried to split us apart." Vivian was making it extremely difficult to dislike her.
It was frustrating dealing with this version of Vivian. Not because she was being nice but because if she had always been like this we wouldn't even be in this situation. If she had been like this from the beginning she probably would have been part of our pack.
"Thank you Vivian, I appreciate you letting my mate stay." Gabriela replied.
"Yes, Thank you." Storm said with a small smile.
