        (Cassandra's pov)
I quietly walked out of the house with Clarke as our dog ran towards Madi and Gaia. "You said I could start school today. Why are we here?" Madi asked Clarke.

"We thought maybe you'd like to see our new home." I responded with a smile as I bent down to pet the dog Madi smiled at me and looked at the house. "Russel built it for Simone so she'd have a place to remind her of the farm she grew up on. On earth before the bombs. Piccaso comes with it." Clarke said with enthusiasm.

"We can keep her?" Madi asked "of course we can Madi!" I tell her and Gaia looks at her with a small smile and Madi got up and hugged Clarke as I stood to the side and watched, a little jealous, with Gaia "Thank you Clarke." Madi says as Picasso barks.

"Let's go inside!" I tell Madi excited and run towards the door, she follow me calling for Picasso to come to while Clarke and Gaia trail behind.

I show her our separate rooms in the upstairs then show her the living room and dining room along with the kitchen and bathroom. "It's amazing!" She says almost telling as she hugs me. I freeze for a moment before hugging her back and we break apart just as Clarke and Gaia come in.

Me and Madi sit at the table as Indra dips out mine and Madi's food. "Heda if you don't mind, your needed elsewhere." Indra says as Clarke walks in. "Where?" Clarke asks

"We've been here a day, and wonkru hasn't seen her." Indra says from beside Raven. "Mother don't be so dramatic." Gaia says as she walks in beside Madi.

Madi leaves the room with her food "come on girl. Let's go." She tells Picasso as she walks away. Indra walks away leaving me, Gaia, Clarke, and Raven.

I hear someone say hey Madi from outside and Raven says "she seems ok." "She is" Indra says and Gaia quickly says "she will be. There's never been an ex commander before we don't how having the flame removed could affect her. Not to mention being taken over by-" "Sheidheda is gone." Indra interrupts "are we sure about that." Raven says "Raven you can teach me how to ride later I have things to do right now." I say and stand up and go the direction Madi went.

When I find Madi I sit down beside her. "So how are you doing with all this?" I ask her "It hurts Casi. I almost made Clarke kill herself and the flame ceases to exist because of me." She says and I hug her "it's not your fault Madi. You were a great Heda when you were one. But shiedheda ruined it." I say trying to comfort her. "Thanks Casi." She says "How are you so good at comforting people?" She asks "I guess it's my father's genes." I say with a small laugh.

By the time Clarke had came out of the house me and Madi were in the yard happily playing with Picasso. While everyone else was eating "Madi, Casi come on let's eat. I wanna show you both your new rooms." Clarke says as she walks past us and we get up and follow her. "Ok come on Picasso." Madi says "I see you took the master suite." Murphy says. I run and jump on him "Johnny boy!" I shout. "I told you not to call me that." He says with a small laugh.

"To the victor go the spoils. We all share the clothes though." Niylah says with a grin. "It's fine Clarke our room is fine. A little tight but we'll make it work." Emori says as I sit down beside Clarke and begin to eat. "Maybe Daniel and Kaylee prime should live in the palace." Miller says "Daniel and Kaylee prime saved your ass Miller. But a thank you would do." Murphy says

"speak for yourself that palace is—" Emori says but Indra interrupts "no one lives in the palace, especially not us. being seen as conquerors will only make keeping the peace harder." Raven come over with her food and gets on her knees "ahh. Ahem. Our first meal in our new home. To absent freinds." Raven says "and departed ones." Niylah says.
"To Abby." Miller says, "to Abby." Everyone says.

It was silent for a moment before Jackson suddenly smacked Murphys cup from his hand. "Hey!" Emori exclaims "what the hell is your problem?" Murphy asks. "I'm sorry, but I'm not just gonna sit here while he drinks to the woman he got killed." Jackson says a little loud.

"I didn't know what Russel was gonna do. Ok I-Clarke you have to believe me. I didn't know." Murphy says "I believe you." Clarke begins "dwelling on the past is not going to get this compound running and it won't get our compound built." She finishes.

"A dangerous thing." Indra begins and stops, turning around. "We can expect conflict between believer and non believers. To make matters worse the children of Gabriel are here. Sanctum is their home, too. They want Russel prime and anyone who believes in him dead. At the moment, they, too, are our allies. Add to that 36 hardened criminals from earth who wonkru was at war with a few days ago and I say we have our hands full being the keepers of the peace." She finish's and we all continue walking.

"At the point of a gun?" Clarke asks. "Until we're sure all the guns are rounded up, wonkru will be armed." Indra says "an army of cannibal peace keepers, huh? What could go wrong." Murphy says sarcastically. "Remind me how long have to wait until our compound gets built." Miller says. "2 years if everything goes perfectly." She says before looking up at the scene before us. "So 3 years." She adds.

"All right stop staring, it's time to get to work." Indra says. I go to stand next to Madi and a man kneels before her. "Heda." He greets. Clarke puts a hand on both of our shoulders. "Go learn something, ok?" Clarke tells us and we both nod running off to the school.

Me and Madi sit in our chairs at the school and I was this close 🤏 to smacking the shit out of this one guy. He kept pulling at Madi's hair and making fun of her. It was really getting on my nerves. "Oh my gosh guys I'm the commander hehehe." He said faking a girly voice "shut up!" I shout out at him standing up.

"Oh look the little bodyguard is here to protect her princess." He says and I lunge at him pushing him to the ground punching him, he got a couple of punches in, "Don't you dare disrespect her!" "You hear me!" I shout at him and grab his hair he just glares at me so I continue to punch him. After he had surrendered I was still punching him. "Casi stop. He surrendered it won't happen again." Madi says and hugs me from behind.

I stop punching him out of surprise before standing up and hugging her back. "Ok Madi." I say softly. We were all sitting back in our seats when the teacher came back into the room. "You with the blood on her face come with me." She says and I stand up and follow her out of the room. "Why is your blood that color hm?" She asks and I move my hand up to my forehead to feel the blood and bring it back down seeing my dark blood.

"I was born with it." I tell her "Ok then I just wanted to make sure everything was ok." She says softly and we go back into the school house and I sit down next to Madi and whisper in her ear "Ai laik a natblida." "Chof gon telling Ai." She whispers back "Ai bilaik   Natblida." I tell her "Krei dula op Ai." She tells me "chon are emo?" I ask her "En nomi ste a gona en em  nontu ste a great fisa." She says and I blush "I like gada ona ai ait side." I tell her "Ba ai laik ona bilaik ait side." She says "ai get in." I tell her with a grin "ai like Yu gon." She says and blushes "good." I say.
